View Full Version : autococker questions
i have a lot of questions about autocockers.first off im a newbie to paintball and have been thinking about going highend. What is this whole timing thing, why do they need timing, and why do they always need so much care and love. Just remeber i'm a newbie, i wanna know what makes them so good, and i wanna know a lot of stuff on them.(or some websites). Your help is thanked ahead of time for dealing with a newbie.
Well, first off the autococker is a pumpgun. YEs a pumpgun.. but with an extra mechanism to re-cock the action(pump the pump. know what I'm saying?)
If you think of it like that.. it is a lot easier to understand. Now, when people talk about timing, they talk about the interaction of the two mechanisms, the re-cocking mechanism and the actually firing mechanism.
Yeah.. this is all fine and dandy, but you need a more indepth explanation than I can give in one day. So go here ==> http://www-personal.umich.edu/~rchopra/
This site is heavy on the technical side, and should answer you question. Also describes the specific action of automags and shockers etc.
MY pleasure.. let me know what you end up getting!..paintballgun wise that is.

Yes, you can run cockers on air right out of the box, they also run fine on co2.

i am soo glad cockers run on co2, otherwise i would not have mine. my cocker works perfect on co2. it is only stock so it isnt all that consistent, but ill fix that by getting a rock regulator and then an air america vigalante:)
