I always hear people talking about their guns with polished internals and all this custom crap, how do you polish your internals and what does it do? does anyone know a site like m98 center for spyders? thanks

Haven't heard of polished internals, but if its anything like ceramic coated internals, it's a coating that decreases friction on the moving parts so that they last longer. May also go by the name "self lubricating" internals. Again, it's a coating that decreases friction.

go to http://www.spyderea.net. They have some good information like trigger jobs and polishing internals.

hrmm..then go to the Spyder Owner's group. I'm not sure of the url, but just go to Yahoo and search for "spyder owners group". Then go to Member Articles or something like that and it has them. My bad about the Spyder EA thing. hope this helps

Polsed internal may hey with rof and consistancy, but for the price it's best left to tourney guns

NO!!!! please do not ever use sand paper on your gun. polishing the internals means using lots of pressure a non corrosive polishing head and lots of lubricant. its almost, in a sense, buffing your metal to make it friction-less

i polished my m98 internals...cuz if you look inside one, the half die casted metal and the metal itself is RUFF!!! i took sandpaper, and just rubbed it all down, and lubricated it, making the internals smoother and less rough. this is polishing ur internals.

Take lots of chrome polish or brasso and about a million qtips then rub the internals until they are a mirror finish that is another way to polish the internals

first what i did was take a fine sandpaper and somewhat polishede the top of my sear. Then i did the same to my striker, the part where the sear engages with the striker. All i really did was sand the anodizing off. Then what i did was take car wax (turtle wax, nu polish, doesn't matter) and with l;ike a bazillion qtips polish the sections where i went over with the sandpaper. Now my trigger pull is PERFECT: light, very short, and silky smooth. Hopes this helps Electrichead

Electrichead i really recommend doing it. It's worth it.

Damn man, taking sand paper to your gun? You guys are nuts. i remember even with my Spyder being like "I KNOW THERE IS A GRAIN OF SAND IN THERE SOMEWHERE SO I GUESS I'LL JUST DISASEMBLE THE GUN AND LOOK FOR IT AGAIN" Most tournament level guns come stock with polished internals, but if you have access to a way to do it cheaply, it could help with the entry level markers.

It should work with 600 grade sp, and i did it to my stock barrel and it shot about 3x better, but no where near my execel

barreL~!? we're talking about things like sears man..wow...i would never touch my barrel with sand paper..but twicho if you do use a fine grade sand paper then use wax like turtle wax...it comes out to be a really smooth and shiny finish..IF you do it right
The Stingray Owner's group has an entire section detailing how to polish your internals. Now these instructions may be for Stingrays, but they can easily be applied to other markers. here's the link: http://www.stinggroup.addr.com/frameindex.html

I told a lot of people to polish their internals. What I mean when I said that, I you polish the striker, the bolt and the receiver. Take differents kinds of sandpaper (600, 1000 and 1500 as examples)Begin with the 600, after take the 1000 etc... After you sanded, take some chrome or aluminium polish (don't use car wax or something like that!) and polish everything you sanded. If you have a dremel, use it to polish, it's very helpfull.
Polishing you internals will reduce friction, so it will improve air flow and may help you to run at a lower pressure.

naw man....car wax works just as good. I used Mother's(best stuff for your car by the way) and it works sooo great.
