Buying My First Gun

I am going to buy my first gun this weekend, i am pretty much sold on the spyder xtra. it got really good reviews from what i have read. but i just want to ask you guys what you think about it. my little brothere is going to buy his first gun soon too and he was going to get a black tl+ but i like the look of the xtra better so that is why i am going to get it over the tl+. basically what i would like to know is are there anyother better guns for about the same price (below $200). because i still have to buy a hopper, mask, and a co2 tank also. and i dont want to spend more than $300. i priced an xtra package for around $260 and then i am going to get a lapco big shot ss soon afterwards. any comments or suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Well, you also have Pirhannas and Model 98s.

Pirhannas are virtually the same as the Spyder. Model 98 has much better trigger pull, but its a totally different feel.

If you like the Spyder Xtra.. go for it.. very nice.

yeah, i looked at the pirhanis, but i like how i found a good looking spyder in my price range, all the good looking pirhanis are $200+ @ pbgear.com

i have heard bad things about it but as far as the xtra is its a great gun go for it!!

i saw that, but i would upgrade the mask to a spectra, and i would upgrade the CO2 to a 20 oz, so it evens out with what i priced on pbgear.com

Have u seen the new JT guns at pbgear?!! The JT 3.0 is a very sweet setup fo $155. Although the extra is also a great choice, so go with what u want

you picked a good marker/package.....(choice wise.don't know about prices.haven't keep up with them)..stick with the spyder...JMO..there are a whole lot of reasons I could give..but you can find those on other threads...good luck with your new marker.....may it shoot straight and true for you....;)
