What do they do to improve the gun?

Pretty much make the trigger pull extremely short and I think having an electronically controlled sear which will raise and lower faster than the mechanical one, thus allowing for the faster rof.

Keep in mind, with an electro it is possible to outshoot the marker.
Most good elcd frames will have a rof adjustment in them to allow you to set the max rof in all modes.
I know my xtra takes a dump over 12, and even at 12 occasionally it will have a hard time keeping up.

The Mako is a pretty descent frame, i've been real happy with mine.
