OK, I have a shutter and I wanna buy a reg/x-chamber. I heard a reg was good for nitro and that an x chamber would be a better buy for CO2. So....help!! :)

yeah thats right...x chamber for co2 and regulator for nitro. they both do completly different things though, an expansion chamber lets the co2 warm up so it doesn't freeze up as fast. the regulator improves your consistancy.

if you are going to buy a new reg and ex chamber just keep the one you have, i would put a reg in place of the ex chamber and i will work fine at least it works for me and then you can get a drop forward without having to worry about finding one that fits with the stock shutter reg.

You know... having a nice X chamber AFTER your reg will definitely not do good things. It might actually make your velocity jumps worse than before. I don't know if you've read that it is not good to have an x chamber after a reg, but, trust me, it's not. It doesn't do too much with a stock Shutter just because the X-chamber is only one stage and really does extremely little. But an aftermarket one that actually does what it claims might cause problems. If you want to keep liquid out of your gun (which is the only practical purpose for an x-chamber except for as a foregrip) then getting an anti-siphon hose installed in your tank will do a much better job of it for much less money, and it won't cause problems on your Shutter like the x-chamber will. Hope I got you in time.
