I am beginning to wonder about the whole PB industry..
I was researching barrels the other day and am now thinking that there are a whole lot of repeats and copies aside from the obviouse spyder marker and its 1000 clones...
But from what I gather, essentially the Taso Eliminator is nothing more than a nickle / chrome plated 32 deg Terminator. Of course there are slight differences.
But the overall layout and designs are identical. So maybe the outsourced manufacturer just takes plain barrel templates and ports them to the distributors specs.
So far.. I can only see that the horizontal grooves on the Terminator are longer, and the terminator is missing the two milled rings that are present on the Taso. The Taso also apparently has 6 ports in the barrel before the muzzle brake whereas the 32deg only has 5.
Of course there is no way for me to tell that these barrels are precisely the same models... Which I assume they are not as the threading looks different between the two pictures.
So with all this in mind, how is it possible that there is such a wide variance in price between brands and models, if they are essentially the same product.
This is almost as bad as the Car Audio market...
