View Full Version : Power feed, vertical feed? Help?

Ok i have narrowed my gun choices down to 1 (read ONE :)), the The Piranha STS G3. looks nice and has some good features. Anyway, it comes in power feed and vertical feed. What is the difference and which one would you recommend? I am sure you have heard this question asked a million times, so thanks for your Patience.

Get the VF. The PF also blocks the sight so its useless. PF doesn't feed as fast either. VF balances the gun better and feeds faster too. You can put a RD sight on a PF but you usually won't have time to aim anyway.

I agree with AK47. I love vertical feed and I probably won't buy a gun that doesn't have it. Vertical feed makes the gun a lot more balanced and extremely balanced with nice drop forward.

get theverticle feed it balances out the gun nicly u can shoot lefty or righty equally good and its much faster

Vert alows you to change up your hands a little more, which alows you to take some better shots. It gives the gun a better overall feel, i think.

Power Feed is a fancy word for Right Feed, which I hate. I only owned one right feed gun, and that was a stingray.

Power feed allows for less ball choppage when compared to vertical feed on a normal hopper. If you want to avoid chopping on a vertical feed your probably going to need a motorized hopper. But if you shoot too fast you're going to need a motorized hopper for a power feed too.....

Your wrong, RF feeds away from the gun while PF goes across the barrel. RF you can aim wioth.

powerfeed- faster feed, harder to look and shoot out of right side of a bunker

verticalfeed- slower but still very fast feed, can shoot better from both sides, dont have to worry about breaking an elbow (the elbow on your gun not your arm)

Get a vertical feed

I like VF because i have a bad habit of breaking elbows at the worst times. trying to play a game without an elbow sucks.

VF also lets me change hands and (for me) makes sighting a little easier.

PF is slower because the ball is on an angle.

Personaly i like PF.
Its easyer to aim along the barrel, and if u have a revy the VF wont feed much faster.

Powerfeed prevents blowback, which would be nice on a blow back marker. Just a thought

PF tries to get rid of the gas and prevent it from blowing the balls back up the feeder, but it doesn't do much.

my friend has a 4.0 that has Vert feed and he turns it into a blender cause of all the blowback, so if you plan to get a Revy or a Ric get the Vert feed if you are gonna use a regular hopper go for the powerfeed. It allows the air to escape and greatly reduces blowback.
