Best First Gun?

What is a really good, reliable first gun?

I will be playing indoors, with PMI Premium.

I dont have much $$$, $300 max for everything inlcuding a mask, hopper and a CO2 tank.

Right now, i am sold on the Xtra but i am having second thoughts because my bro is thinking about getting a Pirhana G2 STS over a TL+ and since they are both so similar i dont want to be stuck with a crappy gun.

tippmann 98 with a 20 oz tank, jt spectra thermal mask, and a dye x-cell barrel...thats only like 235 or so so you still have money for a case of paint.

You can get my package for 150, Alley cat, hopper w/clear elbow, 12oz tank, mask, and maybe a 4+1. upgrade it with double trigger, sight rail, ex chamber or reg and a barrel, and then you got a sweet *** gun!

Go with the piranha, reliable and cheap. Its a perfected spyder

get a tippmann m98, they are very good beginner guns and they can take a beating, all u need to buy is a new barrell, u can get the gun for like 120 at some online stores, and just get a ok barrel like a custom products 14", and that setup is awesome, thats only like $170, then get a mask and a tank all together thats like $220, then get a case or 2 of marbalizer, or any diablo paint(except for hellfire, unless u buy a small bore barrel) bigballs are good. dont buy cheap paint, like BE, nelson, anything u buy at a wal-mart unless they sell marbalizers, those rock for playing in the woods, cuse they have a thick shell, but if ur playing speedball then go for the more brittle shell, like midnights, or all stars.
dont listen to anyone who disses on a tippmann, these are way better then a cheap spyder(but the shutter rocks)

i would say tippmann98.....but everyone around here is a whore and says tippmann sucks.......tell that to the punks i splat out everyweek

Tippys are ok, they are better than my POS spyder :-)

i think a mag also becuase you can keep them for a long time even until you get into some tournaments they are still a good gun and you can upgrade alot and if you wanna go electro later on just put on a elcd trigger :)

I used a Pirahna once (it had orange grips and a double finger trigger and it shot like a joke. I could not beleive the Pirahnas are placed in the same league as Spyders or M98s. In my opinion they are down there with Brass eagle. They shoot like that BE Samurai.
