I have heard this from a very reliable source ( a few guys who play for KAPP... they are moving from timmys to flame matrices)...

also... the SC ironmen (changing name to dye allstars?) is switching to DYE matrix.

all of these are gonna be sweet.

Owen: very very cool. I heard someone mention something about dye matrices a while back I believe, but it wasnt called the matrix. But it was fully pneumatic, so Im just kind of assuming. Im not sure if they will be sold to the public, or only used on the All Stars.

I'll ask Hodge again this weekend. when I went home over spring break, thats what he told me. I believe him.
actually, he was selling one his dark angels, and I was interested in it, asked him why he was selling it. He said that he had too many markers, and that his team was getting the flame matrix, and leaving the timmys. I started talking with him about matrices, He took one off the wall from command post paintball (where he works), in Tempe, AZ, gassed it up, and I showed him how to adjust the trigger. we were impressing all of the customers with how fast we could shoot it.

yup... that was the conversation I had with him.

The store is Owned by Phoenix Heat... I'll ask them what they know about it. they scrimmage each other all the time... I watch.

I'm pretty sure.. but like I said, I'll double check, and get release info if he has it.

my kapp insider told me the same,that the matrices are a done deal,i think it's just a matter of who's going to give up their timmy though,some of the team just picked up the gz's

well, they may not have a choice....they may be forced to use the KAPP markers, since they are their factory team....

The newest information I have says that they matrices will be very similiar the Kapp's Flame Autocockers. Im not exactly what this means, but expect very high prices, around the same as the autococker, but amazing milling and some nice fade anodizing to boot. I also hear that Kapp will probably not be forced to use them, but some members of the factory team will voluntarily switch to them over the GZ Timmys.

well unless they're making their own bodies, there isn't a whole heck of alot you can do with a matrix. so really if they make their own bodies, the gun is going to weigh even more. but as for the flame thing, I don't think I'm going to like that with a matrix. and what the heck is dye gonna do to a matrix?!? because again, unless they make their own bodies, you can't do much to a matrix in general.

As I was saying, these are just rumors. I think we'll see some small engravings (like on the tequila), not as ostentacious as the flame cocker, but still very freakin cool. Dye, I have a feeling, would just me making some nice bodies/breaches/aftermarket parts and maybe a complete, although the price would deter a lot of people from buying them.

The switch, I believe has already been made. If you see the pic I posted earlier, thats Kapp shooting a matrix at the LA Open. We wont know for sure until the next NPPL event, which I believe is in may.
