I have a used m98 and it is missing the 2 rear bolt plugs on the right half of the gun. What problems will this cause.
Thanks

ok,
the two screws on the site of ur gun, hold the CVX valve (power tube). and since they are missing, nothing BAD will happen, but the valve is likely to jiggle around:crazy: and could possible move while being operated. so my advice, goto ur local pball store, and they'll probably give em to u free of charge.
do it now.!!

If you have a good hardware store near you they should have them.
Tell the guy you need 10-32 x 3/16 button head screws.

Thanks I'll try the hardware store. The paintball store in my area has odd hours 6pm to 8pm.
Do you think with these two screws missing would cause the gun to fire a few times and then not re-cock? I do notice gas blowing out of the holes when I shoot it.
Thanks
Charles
Nothing bad? You you kidding?
Without those screws, not only will your velocity be erratic, but the powertube can move around a bit more possibly causing o-ring damage to your rear bolt. And in so, the full/auto effect. And then it will put a lot more stress on the vertical adapter, or the ss hose fitting.
Of course that is only a worse case scenario. But your velocity consistency will be bad. So your chronograph happy fun time will be a great experience.
