I am a newbie, but I have upgraded from my stock barrel already. My gun is a Tippmann 98 Custom.
When I shot my first 1000 paintballs, I was using the stock barrel. All of the shots curved to the right after about 30 yards. After getting my new barrel, a Custom Products 16", my shots were more tightly grouped, but they still curve to the right. All of the paintballs were RP Big Balls. The seem to match my barrel, according to the charts I've seen and the "blow" test, where you put a paintball in your barrel and try to blow it out. They blow out fairly easily if they aren't out of round.
Why do my shots curve? Is it because of the location of the velocity screw? It comes into the bottom left side of the gun.
