I think I finally found the gun I wanna buy. It's a new -Spyder Xtra
-88ci 3k tank (I know Co2 is fine but I want HPA for the next gun I buy)
-PMI Pure Energy Reg
-12" AA Barrel
-Drop Forward and some other doo hickeys from Badlands
I might try ordering the gun, nitro and barrel from paintballgear.net , anyone tried ordering stuff from America? I've only ordered small products like movies and speakers. Does this seem like a pretty good gun setup? It's only for awhile, until I get more money, than it's go go gadget time with my tricked out TALON. Yah baby, you know what I'm talking about...ok maybe you don't. Anyway..what's your opinion on Spyders? I've only test shot a few, they worked just as good as my cockers. PLUS, an old guy from Team Rabid Virus uses a spyder w/ HPA and he kicks IT HARD, check him out at the 2000 Mardi Gras on http://www.pigtv.net

Forgot to add something...I play up front and sometimes as a tape runner. I'm pretty sure the Spyder will be good for snap shooting. A problem I'm having is: I'll look like a Newbie :( But oh well eh, it all comes down to the way you play, not looks.

Ah, that sucks..but than you do know who I'm talking about than? That bald guy, he also gave the All Americans a lickin at Skyball last year. Have you tried any Spyders in a game? Any info you could give would be appreciated.

The service at paintballgear is really good. I emailed Chris from the place and he responded within a couple hours. Bad things eh?? Hmm..there's a couple other stores I want to look at, so far paintballgear has the best price, so I don't know what I'm gonna do yet. I CHANGE MY MIND ALOT.

Remember how I said I change my mind alot (how could you forget, its the subject title), well I did it again. I now know that I'm gonna buy a spyder for sure, just until I have enough money for an Impulse, cocker, mag or bushy. I might not go with the Xtra, instead..a Java Compact. I figured out a set up wich included a 68ci Me'lee tank, Smart Parts Barrel, PMI reg and some other parts for $460 U.S., pretty snazzy. Imagine walking on the field using HPA on your Spyder..hahaha, I love it. If the spyder works well enough I may put an ELCD frame in. I watched that guy from Rabid Virus some more, if he can take out cockers & angels with a spyder & nitro (his barrel isn't that good either) than so can I. I checked out those Canadian stores, they have some good prices for Canadian gear but I think I still might shop from the U.S., that way I can get exactly what I want. I'm (probably) buying the Red Java Compact and gonna match all the parts either red or black.

if anythings not made in the US they will charge u duty up to 65%
blake_sw

Ya I heard about that..I'm not sure if Spyders are made in the US. If they aren't does that mean they times the price ($88) by .65 and add it to the final price?? That would suck! I think I might buy from Champions Paintball if ordering from the US shows to costly. I'm getting estimates done from BBT paintball and paintballgear right now. I'll post the prices when I get them.

Poo...oh well, I found some stuff within Badlands paintball and Champions. Wasaga pball said they could order these products free of charge, and they WONT take my lucky charmns! Now thats service with a smile :) I'm thinking about this setup:
-Spyder 2000 Compact :$180 (only until I can get a cocker/mag/impulse)
-AGD Flatline HPA, 68ci :$330
-SP 12" Teardrop barrel :$100
-PMI Pure Energy regulator :$60-100 (don't know yet)
Than I need a steel hose with connects and a dropforward which will cost about $60 in all. Seems like alot just for a Spyder!

Dude, that's 710 dollars. If you bought an impulse from champions it would be 629.99 and that would get come with a smartparts barrel, a better regulator than the PMI one you listed, you could use CO2, and with the impulse get better performance using the CO2 than the spyder with the AGD/PMI reg combo, and it's just a plain old better gun, by a long shot. I know you want to upgrade and all, but please, this is crazy to do over taking the impulse. I stongly strongly recomend against the spyder

Muhahahha, I know I know, it's just a "phase". I'll change my mind a hundred more times until I find what I want. I think it's a pretty good setup, though expensive. Once I get a job I'll be able to buy more stuff. I might end up getting a mag. I want something that doesn't require much maintenance, both my cockers where a pain in the *** to clean and oil, plus they busted down every second week so I had to go to the Vancouver Badlands alot. I'll look into the Impulse, I've read some reviews on it, darn snazzy. Does the Impulse perform better on Co2 than HPA?
P.S.
I have about $800 to spend, whaddya suggest. I'd prefer getting HPA over Co2

Just my sob story from purchasing from the U.S. (paintballgear.net). First off, my GT Commando 2 was back ordered, no problem. But then they were'nt responding to any of my e-mails! I e-mailed them everyday for 5 days after they were to recieve the shipments of Commandos, and ship mine. The only way I found out they shipped it was by a knock on the door by UPS, wanting $101.59 (I was so mad I still remember the exact amount :D) in taxes and brokerage. The gun itself is made in Texas so I don't think it maters about that, its just the government trying to stick us for not paying the taxes because I bought it from the Staes. Stick with the Canadian stores, not only will you save money, but you give Canadian stores the business, not the U.S.

I think I found it! Here's what I "might" buy:
"tricked out custom chrome automag. The only stock parts are teh valve and powerfeed body. It is in perfect working condition, little to no scratches or nicks on it too. It comes with 2 barrels 12" SS all american and a 14" dye boom stick(just bought a few weeks ago), ANS venturi bolt with foamie, new air valve, 8 hole mod, clear 12vlt revolution, clear elbow, parts kit, an extra drop forward with bottom line, stock single/double frame with guard, new dye chrome double trigger frame, new black double trigger, clear sticky grips, new chrome tko drop forward, smart parts gadget grip(the one with the built in barrel plug), macroline setup, and a pure energy 68 ci. 3000 psi nitrogen tank w/ cover, and a large green JT jersey, and the new JT safe case for the mag" - these are the sellers words.
I have pics of it, I can't tell where I'm getting this right now or the price, because I really want it! If I do end up getting it, I'll post pics and the final price.

Tricked mags are bad bro. Well let me rephrase. Mags with non AGD internals are bad. AGD has done a great job of designing the mags internals, and things people do like 8 hole mods, shortening the trigger rod and the like, can bring the gun out of time, and actually hamper performance. Unless you're getting a serious discount on this, I'd consider a mag with more stock internals, and upgrading to the barrels when you get a chance. Just MHO, but Tom Kaye himself said that "If it would improve performance, they'd sell it stock on the mag". It is of course your choice though

The only thing not stock is the bolt, so I'm gonna find a stock AGD bolt and put that in. I hate it when people put new parts in their mags, if only they knew! If the performance isn't really good I'll buy some stock parts and let badlands do their thang. There is ONE other gun though... It's an automag w/ RT valve and Centerflag's Hyper trigger. I'm not sure if I should get it because I've heard mixed reactions about the trigger, I read a review of it on http://www.warpig.com , creator Bill Mills put it on his mag and it ended up chipping away at the bolt and some internals. So whaddya think, should the HyperFrame (or whatever it's called) be ok in the gun or will it totally wreck it like most aftermarket parts do on a mag?

Well..a problem has came. I won't be getting as much money as I thought I would, which means it's back to beginner guns. WAAAAHHHH!! No mags, no cockers... instead I have $500 to spend. With this money I want to get a gun, a new barrel, maybe a bolt and possibly an expansion chamber. The barrel is for sure. So what do you think I should get? A spyder Xtra + 12" Teardrop costs $470. I'm looking at tippmanns but don't really wanna buy one just because I think they're ugly. If you can find me a good deal or something that would be TUBULAR!

They uped the price to $50, cheap *******s! Well it's still pretty good, but I need a gun, not a regulator.

I am happy to announce my "temporary" decision. I'm going with a Bob Long Millenium. Uhh...good or bad? Most of the reviews give the impression that this gun kicks buttocks. So whaddya think? Another thing, I'm putting a barrel on it.I want a gun for less than $85 (I'm shopping at http://www.canadianpaintball.com they have great barrel prices). What I got right now is: Custom Products Barrel OR SP Teardrop. I want a 12" barrel cause I'm usually up front doin my thang. Soooo give me da feedback or be smacked!
