Okay actually i don't own a impulse, but i'm looking into it, and i have a few questions because some say stuff and others say other stuff.
1. On a basic Impulse not the vision the other cheaper model what are the fire modes or is just semi?
2. is it mandatory to have a anti siphon for a CO2 tank if ran on a impulse?
3.Would you recommend a impulse for a rec player, that may play in some tournies? (not really related to my original questions but hey..)
1)stock impulse is a semi, but you can get turbo boards as an upgrade but it is better to get the turbo vision board as you will get no ball chopping
2) if you are going to use CO2 you MUST use a properly set up anti-siphon CO2 tank because you do not want liquid CO2 getting in your gun
3) i would recommend an impulse for any player, especially one who may play some tourney games, as it can compete with most if not all markers out there, it is also good for rec as it is accurate with the stock barrel (shots within 1/2 foot spacing at 60 yards) and not overly loud, whilst keeping a good gas efficiency (as long as you set your dwell right)

Thanks.
But i still have a question....
Lets say i bought a stock impulse, the next thing i would need to buy to make my gun semi/auto would be the vision board? and a anti siphon tube? Also Where can i find good prices on this stuff?
Thanks.

there is no Turbo/Vision board out there right now. They're incompatible. Smart Parts has discontinued their turbo boarded Impy in favor of the Vision anti chop system. If you were to go with a Glacier board, you would not be able to use the Vsion. The stock Impy is semi auto with or without Vision. Get the anti syphon, it's cheap insurance against liquid Co2 getting into your gun.

It's electro semi only, but you can buy the KM2 genesis board that has full auto, burst, reflex, turbo, and semi. When i still used CO2, i had an on/off but not an anti-syphon tube. and i used it for 3 months like that, i got about 1500 shots off a 20 oz. I play at our little home made course usualy, but i play rec sometimes. It's perfect for both in my opinion.
if you have an imp with a CO2 cylinder, you MUST use it with a properly set up anti-siphon, ignore anonymous (this is not a burn, i don't want to start a flame war) as my friends shop gets quite a few people coming in and having to have thier entire circuit board, solenoids, etc replaced at a very costly sum (not using anti siphon voids warranty so you have to pay a lot) due to the fact that their anti siphons were not set up properly/ didn't have anti siphons to begin with.
you may be able to use an imp on a normal cylinder  but its not worth voiding your warranty and risking such damage to your gun for a couple of bucks worth of parts
an anti siphon co2 cylinder is only a couple of bucks more than a normal one, and if you already have one your local shop can upgrade it for you for a few bucks.
sorry to be so uptight but i am really sensitive about people not using anti siphon on imps (and similar guns), when it only costs a couple of bucks to ensure you wont have to fork out a bundle when your gun f*cks up (and believe me if you don't have anti siphon, it is just a matter of time before it does)
