i play with a guy who always tries to sneak around and not get noticed, after about 2 games we cought on and he never hits any1, he goes out around the perimeter we fire some marning shots at him like we see you, then he retreats, he ussually doesn't even shoot one ball, but i would recomend pinning some1 behind a bunker then move to another one in that case if they don't know where you are then just shoot 'em while they're sitting there dumbfounded

I think playin sniper has alot more strategy then playin aggresively.. although they both have their advantages. If u play sniper and actually know what ur doin to won't try the same rout or cover more then once. So i guess ur friend is just a bad example

When player X is dukin it out with player Z, player Y (me) runs up and bunkers player X!! Works 70% of the time, the other 30% of the time my shoes were untied and I got a boo boo :(

I am a mid to front player, thus I like the gun fight. But In any game, you need to have a good combination of both. You cant have an assult on your opponent with your balls in the wind. You still need stealth and strategy when pushing into your opponent.

But between the two, I sacrifice some stealth any day to come over the top and bunker someone...

Personally I think people who want to be snipers are useless on a team. They end up just sitting around in a bush or something, and since they try to be quiet they wont provide much cover for the team, also they rarely get anyone out. The Assault tactic is the way to go

I enjoy "fire fights" moreso than sneaking around. One reason being that I can't sneak around, not because I lack the "sneakiness" (is that a word :)) but because I wear a neon green JT Jersey with a blue/grey Flex 7. My dress atire is more fitted for speedball than woods play. Almost all of my buddies wear camo (except for a few) and they can see me almost the entire game. I enjoy the fast-pased action!

in my experience it is only fiesable to utalize sniping tactics on a small scale. if the main force moves forward with intent to engage the enemy it might be a good idea to have one or two people grab the high ground and provide support fire. also the main force will privide distraction making it easier for snipers to move behind enemy lines. if playing a capture the flag game, the sniper may have the best opportunity to make a flag run. on the whole however, a team of snipers is not much use (especially if time is a factor). combination and communication are the key.

I raid like a bunch of flys running away from an airisal can.

I think that both are important, and that there is a time to be a sniper and a time to fight it out in close quarters. I am more inclined to go charging in because I get bored sitting and waiting for the action. EX. One game i played 2 on 2. Me and my teammate had the perfect position, elevated, good cover good lines of fire. I grew impatient and went looking for the other 2. I got in a bad position where I had no shot, then proceded to run out of co2. In the end, my partner who never moved more than 2 feet from our awesome position nailed the other two guys.

It's all about the stealth. It's cheaper to get em to surrender, no paint used:) BUT never underestimate the power of a full frontal assualt with premortal rage scream:)

I say you should sneek up untill your to close to be sneaky and kill em all. Both styles heats up the game!

The only bad part about stealth is the 10 foot rule or the 20 foot rule. (where your not supposed to shoot in this range) But you can make them surrender.

The last guy that tried and assault on me recieved a mouth full of paint. I reccomend stealth.

stealth all the way. its fun to watch a whole team scatter when you stalk them and then take 1 shot and take out one of there team members!

I think if you are scared of geting hit with a paintball then you should be a sniper.

I think that both can be used effectivly in a match, I have no preferance to which one i use untill i see the field im playing on. Then i see which tactic would be the most usefull on that field, if the field is open then ill go with everyone else and just shoot **** loads of paint in the air, if there is a way around without been seen ill take it!

I personally prefer the stealth sneaking part (cant snipe im a cack shot) give me more adrenaline, also if you can get around the back of the enemy you switch to assult mode and just sandwich the opponent, and almost win the match. (who else loves planting a shot in the enemies back without them knowing where you are?)

You have to have some combination of both, especially in woods games. Just the last time we played I had my teammate distract a guy, while I snuck up on him from behind.

Snipers can be much more effective than aggressive players, and we do play aggresively in our own right. I don't see you people crawling up to within 20 feet of anyone. Thats a lot harder than seeing who can pull their trigger faster. And yes, we can wipe out whole teams, which I have done. I've taken out 6 men of a 10 man ten man team in more than one battle. There isn't a greater thrill than takeing out a group of five men without them firing one shot back at you, and they being scared ****less the whole time.
