Well, we had been talking about trading for my Splatmaster for a long time....and finally, I got offered an INCREDIBLE deal which included a Phantom and some other goodies. However, before I recived the message he had sent, he was offered a much better offer on the Phantom I wanted as well as with all sorts of stuff that would have been an incredible deal for him to take. What did he do? He stuck by his original offer, even though it wasnt NEAR as good for him and waited for my answer before closing the deal with someone else. I accepted, naturally, as it was a sweet offer.....I was amazed someone would do this.
Well, we finally closed a deal on a phantom and I shipped my old SPlatmaster off, along with the money order. However, much to my dismay, a few days later, still no gun. However, upon PMing....I learned not only had Hitman been screwed by the post office, but that he had taken back the package, REOPENED it and put in an extra goody even though it wasn't his fault. As it turns out, the "goodY" was a new-in-box JT X-Fire mask with thermal lens! The price tage was still on it and read "39.99". I was awestruck. It wasn't even his fault and he felt so bad, that not only did he include the mask, but he also went to ANOTHER post office code and dropped the package there, AFTER paying $18.65 for shipping via priority! So I get the package, and not only do I have a brand new mask, but the Phantom was LIKE NEW. After assembling the thing I tried it out. Not one leak or problem. It shot beautifully, and the barrel was PERFECT in every way. The Phantom now has a happy home and I used it just last Saturday, and was amazed by the performance. The package was VERY well packaged, to the point that not ONE of the 500 FREE PMI advantage paintballs he had thrown in had broken!
Finally....and I was deeply touched by this....he included one non-paintball related item that showed he really cared......A Bible.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet....but it really touched me.
So let's review:
After making an incredible sacrifice by taking a lower offer, John then proceeded to correct a mistake which was not his fault in the first place by including a brand new mask he, at some point, had bought for $40. After driving out of the post office code to a different one, and paying $18.65 priority shipping, he then proceeded to PM me the confirmation number so quickly that when I recieved it it had not yet been registered into the Post Office's system!
The package was as promised and included a heartfelt item that showed he didn't just care about my business, he cared about ME. It was extremely well packaged, included a free 500 rounds of excellent paint......and I was totally blown away by the MINT condition of the Phantom.
This is the BEST trader I have ever dealt with. Needless to say, a deal with John is a deal with the best. HIGHLY reccomend
