county is a great place to buy. I've gotten a lot of things there... all have came quickly and safe.

Mike also provides the best customer service anywhere.

Last night, I emailed him about something at 9:41.
He wrote back at 9:44.

Tonight, I emailed him at 7:31
He wrote back at 7:35
I wrote back at 7:43

That's great customer service... because of it, I buy everything there.

I would recommend county over any other store

just curious why you would think they were a fraud? you seemed kinda convinced they were. not blaming you just curious as to why since they've been so good in my experience

here's my experience so far w/ online retailers:

paintball-online.com ordered mid-febuary....a month later never came. canceled order, still haven't reimbursed me. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

paintballgear.com best prices (usually, county often beats them) ship quickly, but shipped me jt carnivore paint (worst looking paint i've ever seen) instead of jt maxims (which is infintely more expensive) and it was a pain to return. will take me like a month just to get paint and i'm all out! i'd go to walmart for super swirls, but it's 50 miles away. GOOD PRICES, MEDIOCRE SERVICE

countypaintball.com too often out of stock, but always ship quickly and inexpensive and best customer service ever. shipping is high but they installed an anti-siphon kit free for me and the anti-siphon tubing was only 4 dollars! can't beat that, it even shipped quickly. GOOD PRICES ON ACCESSORIES, OFTEN OUT OF STOCK, INCREDIBLE SERVICE AND FAST, FAST SHIPPING

Nothing wrong with the site. It's not fancy...doesn't matter if CP looks like this www.2advancedstudios.com or like it does now. Prices and good customer server are what matter. It's not worth paying some guy 5000$ just so it looks pretty.

Most of those sites like xpaintball are a template yahoo uses I think. Mike uses a pre made shopping cart script also I think. CP is also 95% text, which cuts back a bandwidth which also makes hosting cheaper.

http://www.epaintballoutlet.com has the worst site imo. There is nothing wrong with mikes site. I like it. Mike comes to theses boards. I cant believe anyone would think he's a fraud. I have also emailed milke questions and got responses in no time.

he gives you team discounts!!

everything was on time
it has a page that tells you what everything is happening when you send in your order
shows the recipt
says when they recieved money
when they shipped your package
than it has the tracking link to ups package
and he even helps you out on what to buy!!

Thanks for all the support. I really appreciate it.

Yes, we are indeed a real store. As for the layout, it's plain on purpose. I spent too many times looking at other online sites that show me a million pictures of stuff I couldn't care less about. On a slow phone modem, that's frustrating to the point where I stop shopping on that site. Our site shows minimal graphics so it loads faster. When you decide to read about a specific product, THEN it shows you a picture.

We're not flashy. Just better.

i regularly send customers to county, and i have a store!,if that isnt convincing i dont know what is

and hell if that kid thinks the site's need to be as slick as pbgear or whatever to be real, ill make ours rediculously slick then charge ya 20 bux shipping on a tank o-ring to cover the cost of the "webmaster"

I order from County all the time... best store around. The website is fine. There's nothing I hate more than a flashy website full of useless pics and animation that slows everything down and clutters the screen... show me what I want, show me how much it costs and I'm happy.

BTW, if you wanna talk about great stores with bad websites, try www.e-paintballoutlet.com

They're great guys, but that website is... DAMN!!

Country and E-Paintball Outlet dont have the prettiest sites, but they are the fastest. They have some of the best prices and the customer service from both of them is great and i stress the great part. They do think about the customer. :) :)

County is COOL.

I bought a bunch of stuff, including a mask. And when my order arrived, when it was supposed to, it contained a mask bag so that my lenses wouldn't get scratched. I know it wasn't a mistake that it was in there because the bag containing the mask had been opened and the mask bag/cover had been put inside. Countypaintball goes that extra step to make you happy, Thanks Mike.

I wrote the shopping cart software myself. That way, I can always add any features I want (assuming I have the free time to work on it.)

I actually wrote all the software myself. "SpectralCart" is my creation. I used to be a professional software engineer for Lockheed Martin, but then this wonderful world of paintball took over my life. Luckily, I still retained some of my programming skills. I just get to apply them on something a lot more fun.

This is a nice long thread. How can we keep it going? What's the weather like across the country? Pretty nice here in NJ lately, but cold at night. We play paintball on Thursday nights. By the time we finish up, around 9:30pm, it's pretty chilly. Can't wait for daylight savings time to kick in, along with warmer weather.

Thanks.
Mike

hey mike.. ive been meaning to ask you.. would it be worth the 2 and 1/2 hour drive to play there...? i mean, i dont want to come off wrong, but 2 1/2 hours each way is a long travel time.. so i would like to have alot of fun. you have only 1 field correct?

Tristin

I like the site, lots of stuff, most things have pictures to go along with it. Unfortunately i can't really order from it, being a Canuk and all our dollar stinks and i'd lose out on some money in the currency exchange :(

But keep it up, its a good site.

Probably not worth it for a regular Thursday night event. We only for about 4 hours so your driving time would exceed your playing time. We do plan to have a "big day" around the end of May. If you're on my club mailing list, you'll get an email about it. That one might be worth driving to.

Surreal: Don't try to add yourself to the list. Just try to edit your settings to check the 2nd box.

My field is a hyrbrid field right now. It's speedball in the middle, but with some bigger forts near the starting points. By the end of summer, it will be even bigger and in a big "L" shape so you can't see the other team start.

Mike

Surreal
04-05-2002, 03:33 PM
sweet. at the part where the "L" makes the turn, you can expect many people to get bunkered in that area... lol our field has a 90 degree turn on it, and pretty much every elimination in that area is someone getting bunkered.

hey mike
do you check to see if you are selling markers to underage people that might not have parent approval
or you just sell it to anyone that has money?
just wandering

mikek2111987
04-17-2002, 02:27 PM
Most people probally have there parents order for them, like mine did.

CountyPaintball
04-17-2002, 08:35 PM
It's not illegal to sell paintball markers to people under 18. At least not in NJ, which is where we ship from.

In either case, credit cards aren't issued to people under 18 (at least they're not supposed to be) so anyone using a credit card is at least 18 or has their parent's permission (assumed).

The nature of the internet doesn't really make it possible to ensure that every customer is over 18. It essentially comes down to parents knowing what their kids are doing. Hopefully the parents are doing a good enough job and regulating their own kids activity.

Mike
