Are there any guns that you think are very intimidating because of: r.o.f., sound, etc. Post stories/comments here.
I have a SP Impulse with a teardrop barrel, and not only does it fire really fast, but the balls make a cool whoosh noise as they fly through the air. I know that all guns make a whoosh (especially when the balls fly past your head), but this is different. It can be heard from like 20 ft. away and, my friend says it freaks people out. My brother says you can hear it when the balls hit the other side of your bunker. I think the barrel spins the paintballs. Do you know of any other guns/barrels that do this or just genrally are intimidating. I know tourney players probably don't get "intimidated" easily, so no need to comment on that.

I generally havent been freaked out by any gun except those cheap blowbacks with thumb adjusters that have no lock on them. Ugh the terror. That said, I find cockers generally scare the p1ss out of newbies. Why? I couldnt tell you, but they do

I just thought of something. Do Canadians use the expression "freaked out"?

not dat im scared or anything, but i'd rather not get into a firefight with a shocker. i got into one recently, and this guy was just layin paint all over this rock i was behind, and i didnt know da rock was so small, so my head was forced to stick out, and he layed about 5 balls on top of my head above my mask, and those were the most painful shots i have ever felt in my history of paintballing. considering how far shockers shoot, he was only 20 feet away, and it was crazy.

Any gun with a Low noise level or cool moving part on the outside (like a cocker) freaks newbies out!
Newbies also get pissed when you have a pack full of paint and decide to shoot at an object for target practiced, then they yell at you not to waste your paint, I dont get it. It my D*mn paint, I can waste it all I want (if for some odd reason you consider target practice wasting)!

I now most people don't use these guns, and they are not allowed in 99.9 percent of all tournies , but the AT85's are so frikcen loud and they shoot very fast. The place that I play at has one and I just took it to the target range and blasted off some rounds and most of the people who were out listening to the rules ran over just to see what the thing was. Then when they saw what it was doing they asked if I was gonna play that day.

I know what you mean about Shockers. I have a friend who has one. (They're cool)

Yeah, one of my friends let me take out his old TS1-Select (older version of AT-85), and we didn't even shoot the thing and we still drew a crowd.

Palmer blazer ,now theres a marker that freaks people out ,little nothing really too it.Has a ton of range. My Impluse I dont use that often anymore. Its a good speedball marker but to do the kind of woods games we do its my Mag that I use.. As far as balls buzzing by my head I think its cool hearing them go by.Means there missing you.Its the ones you dont hear that get you.

I'm pretty shure that its the marines who train with them...but lets not be picky.

im only scared of cockers without beaver tails. i know a few people who think its funny to turn up their velocity mid game, but im smart enough not to play with them.

the thing that scared me Sunday was a kid with a Spyder TL+ with no velocity screw!!! The adjuster base was still their but the actual thing that adjusted the velocity was gone!

Cockers scare the newbies. I am pretty sure its because of its unique chabOM-Chh chabOM-Chh noise. Because nearly all guns go bow BAM BAM BAM BAM, then you hear chabOM-Chh chabOM-Chh chabOM-Chh and newbies go WTF IS THAT GUN.

probally a impulse because the first time i played there was a guy who had one and i was freaked out but when i saw he was on my team i was happy :) also Angels b/c they shoot fast! also i notice that for some reason running remotes makes people scared (newbies) i dont know why. maybe its only at this one feild.

The only way a ramrod freaks me out is if the guy who has it is on my team, 'cause I know he ain't gonna hit jack ****. I really don't see the point in those things, I'd rather just use the stock barrel.

newbies get scared when they hear the other guys on the other team yell "bunker the kid in the camo" and then they look down and realize they're the one in camo!....an "oh sh*t!" is usually followed by five pballs hitting them in the neck!

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to play at a private field where a long lost cousin of mine started up. There were only about ten guys there and six of them had PGP pistols, the others had hard hitting artillery, Pro-lites. Let's just say the ole Intimidator put some piss in their pants and paint in their faces.
You know it's going to be waaaaay too easy of a day when you're the only guy not wearing blue jeans at the field.

Hehe, I used to have a pro-carbine (similar to a prolite). I really liked it, but I sold it to help pay for my Impulse. There's a big difference between a p/c and an Impulse, but a prolite and a timmy would be soooooo far apart that it wouldn't even be funny...ok maybe a little. :)

Yeah I had a pro-lite and it was not bad....always shot and was pretty accurate, but then I traded mine in for my shocker...thats how things go I guess.
