I just got the black, unmilled, Viking. I was wondering if I could send it back to get it milled and or anodized after this summer. Also, how much would this cost.

Thanks Alot

You could have it milled with no problems. The problem is if you strip the current ano it will void the warranty. Obviously I wouldn't recommend it.

It depends on what you have milled and who does it. Each place has different pricing.

Is it possible to buy Vikings that are already annoed? I have been told that it is, but now I am having my doubts. I know the excal can be ordered with anoes, but can you order a Viking with say green anoe?

Acctually Vikings CAN'T be ordered with colors already done. At least not yet. I have been conversing with a guy at VBW and he told me just that. SO instead I'm getting him to get a raw body and have it 3rd party anoed to perfectly match my freak front.. hehe YEAH!

Its gonna take a bit longer to get, but it will be worth it :)

Actually, I'm good friends with Shaun from VBW and I know that you can order those colours from AKA. I was the first Viking he sold and we just ordered up a raw body due to the fact that it would save a hell of a lot of time plus I'm picky. Hell, it took me 6 months just to decide on what electro I wanted to buy!

Do you know where on the website the colors are shown?

The place that Shaun gets his stuff done is:
http://www.progressiveanodizers.com/

Pick from those colours although I have to admit the pictures REALLY don't do the anodizing justice.

Hey Muff, yers is the gold one right?

Did u specify that the trigger frame stays black, or is that going to be done too?

Cuz Shaun is prolly gonna be getting my gun in like next week then shipping it off. I'm sending him my freak tip to get the gun color matched at progressive, but like uhh, I was just wondering if you specified that, or maybe you could only do a certain number of parts or something?

Just curious, I'm gonna get it done regardless of the end result.

Cuz Shaun is the man!

I specified the trigger frame to be black. I'm gonna get aluminum grip panels done gold and I have another trigger to be done the same colour.

are right muffin but i got a couple questions for you, first of all i love your gun

1how much are raw vikings
2 how much is the gold anodizing you have
3 what shade of anoodizing is your anno, and is it matt or shiney/.
4 would it anger you if i got the same anno as you because of how much i like it
5 were did you send it to get it reassembled
thanks

1. About $1,299 retail CDN.. dunno USD
2. About $100 CDN (dunno USD again)
3. Definately looks shiney to me (could be wrong)
4. Hmm.. u'd have to get him to answer.. personnally, I'd be miffed, but only because I wouldn't be the only person with it. But if you get the grip frame anoed, then you'll both be original.(cuz he didn't get his anoed, he's doing the plates)
5. All Vikings to my knowledge have to be sent to AKA in the states (uhh.. Indiana right?).

aha, I see u ARE american, so most of that can be ignored...

I'd suggest finding a PB place who can do it for you thats closer to you. Muff got his done in Canada (at least I assume so because he is friends with Shaun who is the VBW.ca guy)

Good luck to ya :)

Hey muff, how is the anoe on yer gun? I mean does progressive do a really good job? And what I mean by a good job is smoothness, durability and resistance to scratching... :)
