I want people advice on which mask is better the JT Flez 7 IZE or the JT Proteus based on protection, ball bounce and comfort and mabye looks and what ever else. They dont have the review of it on this web site. Or If anyone has any other suggestions on another mask. Thanks

i suggest the protues cause it is only 69.99 buck w/o the fan about the same or LESS then the IZE and it alot lower profile, and the visor gives more protaction, and has the kool hearing thingy

I have a proteus I have not played with it yet but I have tried it out the ear peices are coll you can probably bounce paint of the lower half but not as much of area to bounce as teh flex7 they both wont fog up, proteus has alot of goodface protection more then teh flex7 so its up to you they are both awsome masks

effectiveness plays a big part in paintball, but when you come right down to it, the proteus looks really friggin stoopid. i mean, whats with the circular front part? if you take a shot right there, your mouth is full of paint! the ize will deflect most of the paint shot in that area, plus the mirror lens is shweeet. i guess its personnal pref. though so buy whatever is in your price range and what you think will do the job for you.

geez the protus has mirror and clear lenses. and im pretty sure the IZE wont deflect any paint down word, most masks dont, and the protus has a lot more features, but try them both on and then decide

How much do both of those cost?
IF I were you, I'd go with a JTnvader with thermal lenses. Nice mask. Awesome fit. Comfortable.
Gives no bounces, but who really cares. If you are buying a mask that gives bounces , because you always get shot in the head mabye you need to change you'r style.

no if u play right only ur head and gun should show so u will get shot in the head once in a while, and the spectra series has 260* field of vision far better then the elite lense and a new protus w/o fan is 70 bukcs i think the IZE is about 63$ AND wen u buy em u aslo get a gogle bag a mirror lense and a clear lense, so u get more

i've had deflected paint off of my Flex 7..although i htink the Proteus is nice, i think the Flex 7 gives a little better protection in the chin area..

if u look on warpig they say there is a 1.5mm difference in chin protenction

actually, getting shot in the mask isn't bad at all. it just means the other player had a lucky shot or is just a really good shot(plus it isn't painful). the flexing feature is very usefull though. i was robbed of an elimination becuase of some kid with a flex-7 which has the same flexible lower half deflected a ball. it did put him in lots of pain on his cheek though. :D

I know getting shot in the mask isn't bad, but.
If the only place you ever get shot is in the head, and that is every round, mabye you need to change.
It isn't that hard to hit someone in the head depending on you'r range. Just think about when you target practice? dosn't the paint go about where you want it to go?
The best think about those goggles is their vision, since if someone moves to you'r right or left you could see them out of the corner of you'r eye, unlike other masks.
NO matter the maker, I still want to try those BE max vision things, they look like a bug.

the maxx vision arent worth it, and not sayiny it cause of BE, if u want lots vision u have the ravan nuvis and the maxx's lense suck! if u want bubble get a v-force(swweet goggles)

Just to let all you people know who are concerned with lense color and stuff for the proteus. I believe that they take the same lense and the Ize. The shiel system is the only part that is different, like the hearing stuff and speaking stuff. The lense part is the same so you could interchange lenses if you wanted between the two systems.

That’s right I am always seeing guys getting split lips wearing the flex, and as for the Proteus well have you heard of the recall on account of the ear piece cracking, if you want a good mask get a RAVEN nough said http://www.mellowe.com/havocspawns.htm

I would get the ize mainly because of the looks, I get many people asking about where I bought mine, and how much were they.
