Are the J&J ceramic barrels worth the money? Are they accurate? Where is the cheapest place to buy them?

I think they are a good barrel. I have one on my Shocker. I've had one ball break I can remember...and it was no big deal. I just finished the game and squeeged when I got back to my gear.

Mine was $50 or $60 at paintballgear.com. I've seen them on Ebay going for around $40 for the Automag version.

A bud of mine has a J&J 2-piece on his Mag. He's very happy with it, but I have never really tried it out. I only used it for a little target practice and I didn't see any problems with it.

Most of the J&J barrels don't have white writing on them, infact the only ones i've seen with the writing were in pictures in magazines. My ceramic, along with any other ceramic barrel i have seen in person only has J&J engraved in the aluminum.

I am pretty sure there are two different types of J&J Ceramic barrels. I have seen some with more porting than others, also I have seen some called "full tilt" ceramic. Basically i think they are all the same. Anyways i guess it dosen't really matter, i haven't heard too many people complain about them:)

Boy, that's a real shame. I don't know of many red barrels. Maybe a CP.

I've got a twelve inch j&j, no white writing, and it has two sets of porting. The set on the tip of the barrel is longer, a couple inches. The second set is an inch or two behind the first set and the second set is only an inch long. I want to try and tape the second set so that it is sealed and co2 can't escape there. Do you guys think that will help increase range or accuracy? Or will it make it worse? If you don't understand how I described this let me know and i'll try to clarify. but overall the J&J has been a real nice barrel.
