They will need just as much care as other guns. If you dont mess with them when you dont know what your doing then you will have problems but if you leave them alone then you most likely wont have any problems. If you do have trouble most cocker freaks that you can find at your field will be able to fix it in a few minutes. It always a good idea to know your gun just incase you need to fix something though. Go here for all the info you will need http://www-personal.umich.edu/~rchopra/index.html

Dont worry In the beginning when I got my cocker (about a year ago) I did not know anything about it. So I just left it alone and it worked fine. Don't fool with it if it ain't broken!(in the beginning). Little by little I started taking it apart and grew some balls to fiddle with it. I learned alot about cockers here.

So cockers take just as much maintenance as any other gun. If you leave it alone it will be just as reliable as any other gun if not more. The reason why people fiddle with their cocker is that there is SO MUCH potential to make it better. While stock cockers are good right out of the box there is some changes that are nessecary, such as trigger work ect.

Cocker care is easy, only had mine for a month. All I do is squirt oil in the ASA, 3way and on the bolt. Then clean off the paint and thats it, its performed flawlessly.
