Is the spyder compact a good gun? I am a tourney player and am hoping to get one for my brother for his birthday? Should i?

My spyder compact 2K is a good gun, easy to use and perfect for a kid who never own a gun before. Maybe he could put some upgrades on after...

Yeah the Compact 2000 is a really good beginner's gun. There is alot of aftermarket parts out there so the marker can improve with the player.

He is pretty good hes 14 and hes played about 2 games total (When we play together he tends to be a magnet for brush) i probably will get it for him and thanks for the info

Maybe you should also buy him a bottomline. It's hard to aim with a vertical bottle setup, because you have a horrible front grip and you can't lean the gun on yourself.

My last sentence may sound strange, but I'm not sure that lean is the good word...

yeah a bottomline would really improve accuracy.
