I'm thinking of putting the e-bolt on my 98 custom and I was wondering what kind of new front bolt I should get

Seriously, in the power tube setup that the M98 has, the front bolt aftermarket is useless. If it was setup like a spyder where the air actually is channeled through the bolt it would make a difference. The stock front bolt works just as good as any other.

I agree.
Ive even heard plenty of stories of people having "performance decreases" when switching to an aftermarket bolt.
Stay stock!

Aftermarket bolt on Model 98 = liquid paint coming out your barrel.
Unless somebody were to custom-make an entire body that it about an inch longer as so the front of the bolt can actually be ported and not grooved... any aftermarket bolt is pointless.
If anything were to make any type of difference, it would be an aftermarket powertube. That is what the air goes through, not the bolt like every other gun.
It's something I'd like to see. A powertube with no velocity adjust hole (for us with e-bolts or any type of RVA). That, and a larger powertube bolt guide/airway. As to allow a larger volume of air to flow through for those that want a really LP gun.
