man dies from pb

Paintball Attack Victim, Gary Holdren, Dies

Gary Holdren was a loving, wonderful, fun and incredibly kind man who lived a very happy life until he was knocked down in a hail of paintball rounds fired from a bluff in Back Bay, Newport Beach on Sunday March 24 around 1:15pm. He suffered a severe head injury and had 2 surgeries. He's was in a medically induced coma until he passed away on Saturday April 6.

The persons that comitted this crime do not represent Paintball. This is simply a despicable criminal act carried out by individuals that are in no way "Paintball Players".

We as Paintball Players give the Holdren family and friends our support in this time of need.

Some kids before or after were playing paintball and there were splats where he fell. but no splats on the guy himself

for drshcoker who obviously hasnt been paying any attention THE GUY WAS NOT SHOT BY A PAINTBALL! Either:
a) He slipt and fell and banged his head on the ground putting him into a coma and before or after some people played paintball and their marks were at the scene or
b) They did shoot at the guy, startled him and because of him being startled he lost his balance and fell hitting his head on the ground putting him into a coma.

In either case the guy was not shot, the most probable case is a)
case b) seems like a story created by the media since to the media 'everyone who plays paintball loves to go around towns shotting everybody they find just for the hell of it'

Actually no.. in most places shooting paintball guns is not illegal. If some guy was riding his bike and i jumped out of a bush and scared him and he fell and died.. it in no way would be my fault. This is tragic but it was the own guys fault.. he died of a head injury.. should have been wearing a helmet.

shocker2000 the guy was NOT shot by a paintball gun. there were no paint marks on him just on the ground by him. either some people shot at him when he was roller blading and he got startled and fell or he was rollerbladeing in the park where some kids just got done paintballing. but the media blamed paintball guns for his death which is false because there we no paint marks on him

there were no marks on him front a paintball. some people just say kids with pb guns and said it was them. those kids are *******es and i hope they turn themselves in if they actually did shoot at him or anybody else. if they turn themselves in, i could kick their anus's =)
