adjust the flatline off of youre model 98 and into the trash because the flatline sucks then take your 98 and do the same

brass eagle+durability=tippmann
(my point is brass eagle sucks and so does tippmann)

Take your time lining up everythign. Follow every instruction carefully and make sure you dont leave anyhting out and that its perfect! If its not installed right it will have a wicked curve and you wont be able to shoot far accurately

Sometimes I get wild shots that are off about a foot at about 30 yards. Does this have something to do with my velocity or just the funny spin the flatline puts on the paintball? Other than that my gun seems very accurate...

The flatline is an excellent setup if you have it on correctly. You want to make sure the it is installed very straight. If you look at it from the top it should look like a straght line. If you have any curve showing then:
1. you are not looking at it correctly
2. it is not installed correctly.

If the barrel is not installed correctly the pbs can curve quite drastically.

If your pbs curve, turn the barrel the opposite direction of the curve to correct the shots.

Who would professionally install the flatline? Also, does anyone know anything about Psycho Ballistics Model 98 Pro-Seal Front Bolt and Precision Power Tube? What does it do? Is it hard to install? Is it worth the $50? Will it work with my vertical adaptor, or will I have to buy a new one?

If you buy it from I&I, you can request the barrel to be installed for you. There is a nominal labor charge.

I'm with sawtawn. It's not worth the immense amount of tweaking you have to do. I wouldn't ever throw away my 98 though. It takes a beatin but keeps on shootin. I'd go with a terminator or a bigshot. More accurate.

well it is kind of hard to set up the flatline at first thanks to Tippmann being real considerate and giving us full pictures on how to install it (sarcasam), its easy to fix. on the top of the barrel muzzle thing theres a little notch. just make sure the little notch is lined up with the front site post. like I & I said if you get a spin that could mean you put it in wrong, but that can be fixed by loosening the barrel adapter and twisting the barrel in the opposite direction of the curve. but then again, you could be using crummy paint. house paint and even good paint like RP Premium seem to have a hard time with the flatline, so drop down that extra 4 bucks for a case of marbs. if you still have a curve, you might be holding your marker at a cant. if you hold it at an angle youll fling balls all over. like someone said, the only people that don't like the flatline are people who used it wrong or people who got spanked by one.

The notch is in the wrong place. If I line up the notch bad things happen. I can line up the barrel pretty well but not quite perfect. I always over compensate just a bit because moving the barrel just a bit (literally a millimeter) the balls curve off center... eh its just not user friendly. And my local PB store ripped me off last time I got CO2 so it'll be a while before I get an opportunity to re-calibrate.... cnsdjhfguysdfv BLAH
