is it just me??? cuz it seems like everytime i upgrade my gun it seems like its never enough... i'm always looking to upgrade it more.. and when i think im done i want to upgrade to a better gun and the cycle starts all over again.. even if i had the best gun out there with all the upgrades in the world for it.. it still wouldn't be enough..
it probably is just me

Save up that money and get an expensive gun, with a regulator and an aftermarket barrel and you'll never want another thing :)
As for putting too much money into a marker, I put 200 dollars into a spyder compact... (300 if you include the barrel), and I have to ask myself "Why?". Just the love of making a marker unique to yourself I guess. Upgrading is fun, but try and save for a real nice marker. Or get a 68 automag and enter upgrade city, hehe. Those things are so cool

i agree, thats is why i dislike the SE upgrade kits etc. i like to make mine to my own custom specifications

thay's what pissed me off about my compact, someone always had $1 more put into it, hence makeing it "better" than mine, but soon i'll get a mga and kick the tricked compact's asses!

haha i know what your'e talking about. My friends and i always have these contests in who can upgrade more. I have at least 200 dollars of upgrades put into my gun. With the value of the Tl plus and all the stuff i've put into it...i could've gotten a Mag or Cocker..

I guess I'm lucky. I like the way my STS works right now. I've only put a $20 microline kit and a $15 drop forward on it. Next, a barrel, still haven't decided on one, and then an HPA tank. At least if I sell the marker, I can keep the tank, which will probably be the most expensive piece I get.

wow that's almost EXACTLY what i thought...just a barrel and drop forward... haha now the only thing that's stock is the body and trigger frame..and even that is heavily modified...

The more expensive your gun is the more upgrades you want to put in it. I have allready put 200 into my cocker.

If, and when, the time comes that the STS doesn't perform the way I think it should, I'll upgrade to a new marker. :)Pass the old one down to my oldest son :).

At least the "Hand Me Down" marker will be well broke ... in! ;)
As for cars, he's lucky there, we had planned on giving him the 1986 Nissan Sentra that had about 175,000 miles on it. he's only 11 now, so he'd had a few years to wait. But, unfortunately, the car literally died last year. Now he's looking at inheriting the Big Arse Family Van ... when that happens, the wife and I are upgrading to a Mazda Miata.

Well everything but the cocker, I was thinkin more along the lines of bushy, or impulse or angel, where the most you might get is changing the feed to high rise/low rise maybe a delrin bolt, and a LP chamber on some of em. Other than that most of the guns come stock with all you could ever need. I didnt take the autococker into account, because I'm an idiot I suppose, because I've seen 400 dollar cockers with 2000 in aftermarket parts, so I wish to change my original position to say "expensive markers except autocockers". hehe

no man..that's not how it is...If you get a nice gun..then you'll have to get a nice HP system..that itself is 450...then you get a new barrel, most likely a boomstick, which is 110, plus you're gonna want to make it low pressure, which costs around 150 i guess, plus new bolt which is 40...new Reg..which is 100..you see wehre i'm goin? No matter how expensive the gun, there will always be the desire to make it better.
