What hopper should i get for my 98 Custom? I'm looking at a HALO or a Ricochet 2k?

I have both, and they work rather well. Both of them. If you want, here's a review I wrote discussing both these two compared to each other...

I think i am going to go with the HALO. I have just one moe question though. Does the HALO ever double feed on the Tippmann 98C?

I can not say it never will. I don't have enough experience with it yet.
All I can say is that I have yet to have it double feed! Though I've only put about 1 cases of paint through it, so that's why this isn't much of a helpful idea.

pic, you seriousaly going to spend that much money on a hopper that wont do any more for you then a 12v revy?

man.. thats sad, I mean putting a hopper capible of shooting 25+ bps, on a rec ball gun, which is probably still semi auto which then you cant fire more then 10pbs with your finger.. seems a little bit of a waste dont it =o)

your wasting your money if you get anything other then a Revvy. you don't need a hopper that feeds 15+ BPS when you can't shoot but 10+BPS

I'm going to say it to, getting a loader that cost more than gun (in the case of the HALO) is ridiculous. Tippmann markers don't need that kind of feed system. Since it's not as easy to attain a high a rate of fire as on a higher end marker, the need to feed that fast isn't there.

A 12v Revolution with an X-Board will keep your Tippmann fed nicely, I've got on on mine and haven't chopped a ball in a while. The R2k's and RAk's are coming down in price now, somewhere around $60-$70. I could justify spending the $$$ on one of those because it may only be a few more bucks morethan a 12v Rev.

I dunno, I personally NEED a Halo with My 98 setup. I can easily outshoot my revvy and Ricochet. Plus I really like force feed hopper systems. I don't get any misfires or chops from high ROF.

However, if one doesn't have an RT or e-bolt, then the need of a Halo isn't as dramatic. An R2K or Turbo-Rev (not X-board, but Turbo from W.A.S.) would work nicely.

dude,
you don't need a R2k, or a damn Halo. a 12v w/ xboard is perfectly fine and feeds great. pluss, i've heard that a HALO willl eat up ur paint if u dont use premium. so if u use like diablo, or proball, its gonna eat it up cuz it feeds sooooo fast.
get a 12volt w/ xboard ;)

I have yet to have that happen, so I don't know where you heard that. Though I wouldn't doubt it. It's a very new product, I bet there's a couple out there more powerful than others.

Also, why do you say you don't need any other hopper besides a Revvy?

I dunno why, I am just curious. Why are people so closed minded and ignorant that they shove aside all the new products and tell people to get the outdated ones?

I mean yeah, it would be different if a Revvy actually did better, or was more reliable... but it's not. A R2K with ONE 9volt can feed just as fast and consistent as a Revvy that needs an aftermarket chip. A Halo that feeds faster than both, and force feed so you can shoot at angles that the others can not. Hell, or even the Corkscrew in the future, I would not doubt that to be better than a Halo even!

To tell somebody they don't need a R2K or Halo, is just the same as telling them they don't need a Revvy with X-board.

*side note: customer service is quite a bit better with Ricochet, and a little better or par with Odyssey.
