What is the differance in nickel phantom barrel off the the official website compaired with the barrels made out of other materials?

I believe the barrel is aluminum, just like most other barrels, it just is plated with nickel.

Yes, but what is the point of the nickel plating? Does it increase the accuracy at all? Or is it just for looks?

It allows Mike to control the bore on the barrel. He can take a stock barrel, nickel plate it, and then the bore is slightly smaller. That way, he doesn't have to get a bunch of barrel stock in different sizes.

because when they nickel plate, the parts go into a bath, its not like painting your house.

my phantom is coming in tomorrow, and i was planning on getting a 14'' aftermarket barrel (cci nickel or carbon fiber) since i have 11'' stock.. anyways, my question. is the nickel plated just like the stock barrel except nickel plated with smaller bore size? or is it a completely different barrel? i was lookin at them and in the pics they look pretty similar...
