10 year old newbies.

First off,I know all newbies aren't like this.I have respect for em',but its people like this that totally tick me off.OK first,this was this kid's first game.He never heard about paintball.Ok I'm cool w/ that.Than he starts following me around,and asking lots of questions.Ok this sorta ticked me off cause' his dad is real experienced and why not ask him some ?'s instead of quizzing me,much less stalking me.Another is he had an Impulse.Ok I'm about to beat the kid down now.Infact the next one I did beat him down.Ok we were at a Big Game.I had just chrono'd my cocker and preceded to the staging area.I took my masks off and watch the target range from like 50 yards away(the target range is all around netted,so it was safe to watch and have my masks off).This kid goes,"I'm gonna go chronograph my speedy rifle,ok dad?" and put his barrel like 3 inches from my cheeck and fired off 7 shots.I was resting my body against a tree stump and didn't see him.It scared the $hit outta me and I turned around and punch the kid in the face.His dad came over and told me to back off and the kid went off crying his heart out.He than told everybody the game producer said the max fps was 320.I was like"Can't wait to unload on your fat *****" and I did.He started crying when he got hit and I bunkered him and shot off 4 shots point blank and than painted his mask a pretty pink.

I around new kids all the time and even if I'm close to where there shooting, balls can go thur the screens. the best way to handle this was inform his dad whats going on or happen.
Bring that to me what you did and you'd wish you did not know me. when young people come to me and ask stuff about the game i am more than willing to explain,teach or show them stuff.
You had to ask questions at one time or the other, how would you of like them telling you to get lost.

Maybe it was a reflex. One time, my friend Dave was in a bunker when this kid swung around and pointed his gun about three inches from dave's throat. A shot like that could probably kill you, FYI. Anyways, without thinking Dave kicked the kid in the stomach, jumped up, and lit him up. He didn't even realize what he'd done until after the kid was on the floor crying. Besides, i am willing to bet a lot of money that most people here, if they had no mask on and were taken by surprise (i.e. 5 shots at 320 F.P.S. a few inches from your face) would have done the exact same thing, regardless of the brat's age. He should know better than to do something like that.

Here's my take on the situation:

I know lots of kids who have not been raised properly and are absolutely terrible people to begin with. They are annoying, selfish, spoiled and unnecessarily ubnoxious. The kid described here seems to fit the bill, since "daddy" got him an impulse.:rolleyes:

The punch he got was a wake-up call, and made up for all the times his dad never beat him for doing something he knew was wrong. Obviously you'd be considerate enough not to shoot near unmasked people, even if you were young and naiive. Only an ******* would do that. It's not a punch in the face that will ruin the sport, it's carelessness and unnecessary injury.

The kid did something very very dangerous to a total stranger. What did he expect? What S2 did was justified.

Hey i have a tippy, and a secong nine ounce tank cuz thats all i could afford a year ago. I paid that ****er off installments to my parents , and they collected interest as well! keep in mind it was like 230 bucks, with extra tank and tax, and i was paying it off on 15 bucks a week allowance, thats 22 weeks, then there was that f**kin interest! all in all, it took me half a year to pay off that gun. So why cant these little kids:
A: even know the price of there set up (ask them how much it was, and 90% of the time the blank out)
B: Help pay it off, or be resonable when they cry to daddy
C: Do there parents really need to buy them the most expensive gun.

I had to play 9 friggin games with my ball chopper XL (aka pointzero) before my parents even talked about getting me another better gun. Then they told me id have to reasonable. no friggin lie you know what i did, i spent two weeks looking up prices, comparing looks, features and durability. Then my parents said, you get a maximum off 350 bucks as your loan. I didnt have to buy a tippy but i did, could of got a more exspensive gun could have got a prettier gun (though i think the tippmanns tommy gun look kicks the poo out those laser blaster looking guns) but i got a tippy. And thank god i did. Can you put a angel down in the mud and crawl through a ditch with it, i think not. but i did it with my tippy and thats all i gotta say.

The reason im mad is not that there young. its like why my parents made me borrow that point zero for 9 or 10 games. To see if id stick with it. im notorious for getting riled up with a hobby, and ditch alot of cash into it, only to dump it two weeks later (photography, ham radio, making a hovercraft
:P ) so why would those little kids need the most expensive (which really aint the best) marker. they could hate the friggin game and be out 1400 buck! and the little ones that brag because they have 1400 dollar set up. put all that money where your mouth is *****. because when you try to feather, and hurt your fingery wingeries, and then i pop out of cover 2 feet away from, well see. and i always love to see those touchy assed angels chop a hopper full of their designer art deco paintballs and then they throw down said over priced crap load and cry to mommy.

My input is leave the guy who started this thread alone, there are many types of people, and this kid who got punched was a spoiled little kid, besides after he got punched he started talking about the 320 fps so it doesn't look like he realls cares. There are many stupid little kids who are annoying and im sure this kid was one of them, there are also many nice little first timers, wanting to learn about the sport and not be annoying, i'm relatively new to paintball and i do ask questions but i am not so stupid as to point guns at people faces, wheater safety is on or off, nor do i have my daddy buy me a timmy :)

And come on guys, I'm sure that the little kid didnt own the impulse. there's this little kid at my field, he uses a flash, and one game he borrowed his dad's impulse, so I asked him "hey, where'd that impulse come from?" and he said his dad let him borrow it cuz he was playing with his cocker that game.

and 320 fps?? did the kid just say that, or is that the field limit?? if so, that field should be shut down because the universal max. speed is 300.:eyes:

Nah I don't quite remember how I got around to doing it but I actually smacked a 10 year old up the side of his head once for being REALLY obnoxous. I felt bad after doing it and was worried about his dad going ballistic. Somehow I made him forget about what happened. Despite him still being a majorly huge spoiled brat. I always thought it would be better to drown in the sea than to offend one of those guys. But this guy was REEEEALLY asking for it.

Paintball..... I talk to the little guys as if they were grown men. I try to encourage them to move up; however most the time they don't. I remember this little guy running past me by my bunker and I was at the very front line taking heavy fire over my bunker. So I grabbed him and pulled him down into the bunker I was in and told him to hold this position. I had the little guys setup in a circle around a very strong point. I tried to bunker the guy's in front of me;however, because they were shooting hot, I got eliminated instantly. It was kind of cool though because the little guys held off the adults in their positions and won!
