On a remote, what are quick disconnect and slide check?

quick disconects are fittings that alow the ser to disconect the hose from wherever the screw in part is screwed in without unscrewing it. they come with who parts, a male and a female. the female fits over the male and locks on.

slide checks or degas valves are placed on female side of the quick disconect. when its slid forward it cuts off air flow to the quick disconect so that air cannot pass through the disconect. if you dont do this the air will come out of the disconect and also shoot out the o-ring inside the female. (its not fun to try to put n o-ring in a disconect if you dont know how)
