Cleaning help

This may sound stupid to some, but, can I run water through my dye boomstick to clean it out or will it do something bad to it?

Water works great to clear the porst of "crap" and "gunk" and "paint splooge". I hate to have to use technical terms, but you should be able to figure it out. And no, not a single bad thing will happen to your barrel, it's actually the best way to clean out the porting
