Best "Low-End Electro"

Okay I am in the market for a nice new marker. I want one I can use in tournies and rec play on the weekends. I was wondering what you think are some good "low-end" electro's for a somewhat new player getting their second gun. I don't want tribals, em1, or Rain Maker. And July I don't want to hear Bushy. I am leaning towards the Matrix right now mostly because I don't have too much money and this is only my second gun. I would need to save up some more to get a Timmy and all the mods I want for it. The only gun I see there that could be called low-end is the Impulse, and I wouldn't call it that.

You cant go wrong with any of those guns but I would stay away from the shocker because of its size and its a gas hog. Ive also hear some people say the matrix is a gas hog too.

I heard Tribal is going outta business. And they guns suck ***. But thats only what I've heard.
July, I don't hate Bushmasters it's just I dont like the way they look(not much different from any of the above except the timmy) and that they are made by Indian Creek. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't buy a Defiant either!!!

How come the timmy and matrix are low end, while the shocker which is older/slower/heavier/more maintenance intensive and costs less "isnt really low end"?

Whats wrong with indian creek? everyone has a personal opion on looks, but even if i though the bushmaster was ugly I want the best performing gung. heres what i plan to do to mine if dcpaintball can do it with the dv8 lcd-

I just read a couple reviews on the impulse and they both said that the trigger was pretty bad due to the fact that its not adjustable so your stuck with a really long trigger unlesss there is an upgrade for it or you can jimmy rig something. i also found out that the anti chop eye will still fire if it doesnt see a ball, it just fires slower instead of waiting for a ball so you can still chop if you are shooting fast. It kinda defeats the purpose of having an ace.

Yes, on the timmy it will still fire at 3 balls per second if it sense no ball. I dont think you'd chop at that speed. Which is to say, I've never chopped a single paintball ever with my gun, so yeah, it works

I was actually talking about the impulse if its the same rate as the timmy then going that slow you cant really chop. If something goes wrong with the eye on the impuls or timmy if theres no way to bypass it then firing 3 balls a second would really suck. Im sure there you can though.

Yep, you can bypass it if it goes FUBAR on you. However, if it messes up, that means that the second eye on the other side is no longer receiving the signal. Which tells the gun that there is always a ball there. The gun automatically turns itself into semi-auto 12bps with the eye off. Most of the problems relating to the eye involve dirt, so they're easy to fix, but I've never had problems yet

I was going to get the timmy but I was debationg on it. I would rather have my first electro be something thats user friendly and stuff so I can get used to it.

I know this shouldn't be here but I heard that mephistos are pretty sweet guns. Most of the time the reviews don't tell yuo ****. I have some stuff that they said sucked and it actually kick some ***.

God you people just get blinded by the media and automatcially assume that the impulse is the best low end electro. Try the bushmaster. It has the adj trigger which the impulse lacks. The impulse trigger is very long though it can be fixed.
