what exactly does a raised sight rail do? not the adapter... i know what that does, but what does the rail do? help you aim? because doesnt the M98 already come with a sight?

The tippmann does come with small plastic sight piece, but ive found it to be basically worthless.
The sight rail allows you to attach red-dot sites, scopes, etc. to your tippy.

The sights that come on the gun stink, as do almost all "stock" sights. They Raised Sight Rail not only gives you a better depth perception, but it allows an attatched scope to see over the little nubbin in front of the gun (front sight)

Yep, just clamps, bolts, etc on the gun and allows you to use larger sighting devices. I don't use a sight, becuase I don't really see the worth in it, but they do make M98's look a little better. I like the Lapco ones, they've got a cool design, and bolt on using a longer pair of valve bolts. go to the bottom, the tippmann techline sight rail, thats the one i was asking for, isnt the adapter (the one on top) the one you mount things on?
