Is this LP system all its cracked up to be? I have 68ci 3000psi tank coming in the mail, so how many shots do you think I could get out of it. Also can you actually reach velocities around 300fps while running the at only about 250psi?
Thanks

yes, but there is a point when going low pressure too far can decrease efficiency. My cocker runs between 200-250 psi. My understanding is that the single biggest reason fo going lp is to use brittle paint (allstars, hellfire etc). Also to a point it will increase gas eff. Yes you can Reach velocities of 300 fps with less pressure. Lp is basicaly changing componants in a gun which lower its pressure needed to operate, you will still be able to get the same amount of velocity ,but its easier on the ball because usually you set up your valve to release a longer soft burst of air instead of a fast, harder one.
Usually the generall formula ive heard is 10 shots for every Ci on a 3000 psi tank, you will probably get more than that depending on what your gun is and how efficient it is, operating pressure etc...

If you go low pressure won't you get more shots out of your tank, or does it use the gas more efficiently?
The only 2 reasons I want to go LP is to reduce ball breaks and recoil and also to get more shots out of a 68ci 3000psi nitro tank.
On Ravi's review of the aka low pressure system he said he got 1300 shots out of his 68ci 3k tank. So will I get that many?

i Know going low pressure can work wonders, in all fields of guns. I know impulses run at like 150-175psi (aint it great) and get about 1000-1600 shots depending on tank anti-sihpon etc on a 20oz co2. On my piranha i can get about 1100 shots on my 90z tank!!! I didnt think it would make that much difference but im lp, and have a perfect bore/paint match. I can go usually all day on my 9oz, its amazing. I also live in texas so its always hot, i dont know if that effects anything.
