I am the only one in my whole school with an electro-neumatic, everyone else has tippmanns and spyders and stupid stuff like that. Well one of my friends finaly took it up a level and bought a flash LCD. It was alright, but all it is, is a TL+ with an ESP frame, pretty much. So were talkin about it and he mentions that his flash comes pretty close to being better then my impulse. I started laughing but then i saw he was actualy serious and then i started dieing. I dunno what the fork he was smokin, but it must of been hard core.

This guy I played with over the weekend had a tricked out electro spyder. It was nice, FOR A SPYDER, but I would never trade my gun for it.

i have a friend like that too. i have a sweet turbo shocker and he just got a flash. he thinks that his flash is better than my shocker just because he can shoot 13bps on fully auto even though he doesn't even have a revy so it chops balls. he says that his flach is just as good as my shocker except that i paid aroun $1000 and he paid around $250. it looks like me and him gonna have to do a little one-on-one to get this boy sraight!

I think you nailed it there, Ender.

DriedGeckoEgg, where do you live? (ack- washington) Play some one on one- You can use your imp, I'll use my Model 98... no, actually, give me a Raptor. We'll see who wins.

I hate it when people focus on differences in gear more than the game.

Guys, guns dont make THAT much of a difference.

Just ask Johnny, Walt, or Ralph, they all got mowed down by a 98 last practice.

Johhny, Walt, Ralph? What happened? teh rats were dethroned? :eyes:

You could say that.

We brought a couple friends to practice with us last time, one being a back guy for Tippmann Effect.

His awesomely awesome 98, with super upgrades such as a double trigger and CP barrel (Yes my friends, JUST a doble trigger an CP barrel, oh, also had a wdp minireg on there, but I dont see airsystems has gun upgrades)

Anyway, the 98 tore it up.

(No I'm not bad mouthing any of them, our friend from tippy is a damn good player, he can play like the best of em' with pretty much any gun.)

cool...i heard that tipp. effect back players used flatlines....is that true?

The Legend

No, no one on TE uses flatlines.

yeah, I can actually rip pretty fast on a double trigger on a 98- of course its not nearly as easy as a rat, but if you just put your middle finger on the lower half and your index on the body, and just think while you fire, you can actually achieve a decent ROF.

My Impy is still my number one big-game gun, but ive mowed down more than a few high-end tough guys with my M98.

a member of my team has a LP electro shutter.....its kinda like a poser impy but its REAL nice........spyders aint THAT bad but they arent the greatest guns either. Oh and how is it possible for a paintball gun to eat another one?

hey ignore my last post in this forum. that was my friend that said all that. i admit my flash is a good gun for a spyder and a blowback but u cant compare impulses and spyders or spyders to other guns like angels or cockers, it just aint right. and even though other guns are better i still have abelief that it isnt always the gun that makes the player it is the skill of the player that proves how much the gun is really worth.

p.s.
my friend only wrote that since he has a new impy with wermstick and undertow and last practice i gogger him duriing snap shooting drills and he is still trying to make excusses like his revy was off the first shot and stuff like that.

tippmann effect did use flatlines for their back players, but they stopped after the 2000 season i think?:eyes:

i thought they did...cuz i watched a pigtv video (i never get to go to big tourneys :( ) and i saw the back players using them...but it looked like they had custom flatline barrels......it looked like it was SS...but i dunno....it also said in the text describing the video that they were shoooting flatlines......just thought that was interesting:D

I dont think the gun makes the player, but the player buys the gun. Like, your not going to see some really awsome player with a practicly stock model 98 or spyder.

It really depends on your style of play.
My friend has a M98 (not a custom) with only a jj ceramic barrel, mini drop, and f/x collapsable stock set up on his tippy and he dominates woodsball games.
But once he steps foot onto a speedball course, he practically wets himself, he gets so scared.

see i agree in a way that u wont see pro people or tourney people even with completely stock m98s or spyders but u will see them. if they were bad guns teams like bad company or tipmann effect wouldnt use them.(even though they are both sponsored by the companys that make the guns.)

Right... well back to laughing at kids who think a Spyder Flash is anywhere near equal to an Impulse... HAHA!

 now my other friend bought a flash, same color and everything. And both of them are argueing with me, that their flashes are better. So i showed em where it was at the next couple games. It's so funny that they think it's awsome just cause they have their little built in blender they call fully auto.

ok, i know that you can get a spyder to perform predy well. but COME ON. i dont think i have ever seen a spyder that was better than an impulse. no blow back with an electro trigger will perform better than an Impy.

and i know the gun doesnt make the player. but you all know you would probably do better with a tricked out gun than with a tippy or a kingmann or some other low end gun.

Again I believe the character below would best express my feelings toward Spyder owners who would try to compete with Impulses.
