If you have a vision, could you please tell me how easy it is to adjust. Also will it work with two color paint, becausemost paint I use is, say, blue and yellow. Does this affect performance any(two toned paint?)

no 2 color paint won't make a diff, just like it doesn't matter on a revy, same basic idea.

actually it DOES make a difference when you set it up. you need to do the DARK side of the paint first, then rotate the paintball to the light side and make sure the vision is still seeing it.
this is borrowed with thanks from Wolvies FAQ page:
#17 How do I set the sensitivity on the Smart Parts Vision?
Here is what it says, directly from the Vision user sheet:
NOTE: For the purpose of this set of instructions, CW = Clock Wise and CCW = Counter Clock Wise.
Make certain the air source is disconnected from the Impulse.
Place loader (hopper) and barrel on marker to avoid light entering the breech to ensure a proper reading.
Turn Impulse on; select middle position of the rear selector switch.
Retract bolt to ensure breech is clear.
Drop in paintball to be used. If using 2 toned paint, first drop in the darker, or violet colored shell towards "eye". This can be done by dropping in the paint, removing the barrel, spin ball to correct side and rethread the barrel. MAKE CERTAIN air is disconnected from marker.
Using a small flat head screw driver slowly, rotate the vision 'eye' pot CW until the pot reaches the limit and stops, Next rotate the pot CCW until the LED flashes amber. Continue until the LED stays solid amber. Next rotate the Impulse in all shooting positions, tilt sideways and rock back and forth. The Amber light should stay solid.
Rotate the paintball to expose the other shell color, if the ball is 2 toned, and repeat step 5. Use the most CCW setting needed to read 2 toned balls.
Vision is enabled Impulse is now ready to use.
And for those of you that do not know, with the Vision switch on the back of your Impulse, in the Left position the Vision system is ON and in the Right position the Vision system is OFF. As mentioned above the middle position is to programs the Vision eye's sensitivity.

Thanks for all the info. So whatever the eye sees when the switch is in the middle position, it will shoot when the gun is on, right? So would using two different types of paintballs work, like say 100 2-colored balls and 100 single colored balls. Would it work like that, If I set it for all three? Which ones would i set first?

1. That's the theory, yes.
2. If you had a mixed hipper with darks and lights, I'd think that would be the same as shooting a half and half ball.
3. All three what? You'd still set it up with the dark color first.

well hyper sport works has them for sure (hell look at the pic), and many other shops (unnamed) have either seen them or are getting them soon (they just won't openly admit it ;)).
Go ahead, don't believe it. I'll put up some pics when I get mine in.

I saw one pic that was faintly reminiscent of a mid 60's UFO picture. Badly out of focus, and could have been anything from a circuit board to a 1940 ford coupe. When you get one, please post a quality pic of it.
I take NOTHING I read at that other place seriously. I'm pretty sure, with the exception of the regulars who do double duty here and there, that the place is populated with nitwits.
as good as the current Viosn is, if they make the new one easier to adjust, I'm all for it.
I just don't buy green bananas...:D

haha- I hear ya. Well believe me, it's real. SP has ceased all production of the old visions and has even changed manufactureres. Plus certain shop owners (who's names I won't spit out here because they'd probably get pissed) have told me that they are in fact awaiting shipments of these new boards.
Like I said, I'll get some nice Hi-res 640X480 pics of it when mine gets here.
