I tried this new stuff from RPS/PMI, it's supposed to replace PMI Premium ... has a dull looking shell, not glossy like Premium. I hope it was just a bad batch that I got, but I chopped paint like crazy and had WAY too many barrel breaks. This is supposed to be medium to small bore paint, so there shouldn't have been in problem using my Smart Parts Tear Drop Barrel ... I bought a half case at the field, ended up giving away about 200 rounds. I probably won't use this stuff again.
Anyone else had any experience with this paint?

Well Muck I have used 3 cases of this paint. One thing if you bust a ball you got too dry out the barrel. This paint hates getting any wettness too it.The frist time I used it I busted about 4 balls in about 20.Then I really clean out my barrel and have only busted about 6 out of the rest I have shot.

This new shell is supposed to be from a new manufacturing process that PMI is using. The shell is more brittle so the ball breaks more easily. If the ball are chopping in the marker, it might not be the ball. It might be your marker. What kind of marker do you have?

We went through 3 cases of it yesterday with no problems. We were shooting 1 case Black/Green Marb and 2 cases of Slam/Yellow Belly. We were shooting it out of our Excaliburs with Boomsticks. We didn't have a single chop or break all day. It does have a slightly more brittle shell than the older stuff. It is less oily and appears more round. My understanding is that they are using a dry gelatin instead of a liquid as the base for the shell.

this paint is awesome!!!! Shot out 1 case sunday and did not break one ball,,using ACI graffiti barrel. less seams, patented design, less oil, thick fill, paint stays suspended in ball.

I'm shooting an STS G2, with Smart Parts Tear Drop barrel, I've never had problems with PMI paint before, and I understand this is the same diameter as PMI Premium. I thought maybe I had a bad case of the stuff, but several other people were having similar problems. Ball chops, barrel breaks ...

Muck the only think about this paint is if you just wipe out the barrel after it breaks it going to keep on busting balls or make them do hooks.Last weekend I was busting a few in my Mag had too turn my marker down a tad. Then it work out fine.
