Vert feels better IMO since it can be used as a fore grip and looks cool too.
The Horitonal one makes the gun taller, and when you're diving around it probably would break off easier if you took a bad spill accidently, although you'd really have to kick its ***.
But they are both the same thing, the best regulator on the market.
Get a Vert reg one with your Impulse though, because even if you want a Horizontal one, you can exchange your Vertical on these forums for a horizontal and get 20 bucks too.

Well a Max Flow is a Max Flow, no matter how you look at it (Vert or Horz).

you want to go with a vert. becuase if for some day you want to go to a vert from being horizontal it costs an extra 50 for them to install it I think.
50 if your reg is brand new, if not it would cost ya 150 from SP

Also, you can do what I am doing. I have the vert reg then I am putting a nitro system behind that = 3 regs on my marker. :D My marker is gonna be crazy consistent

Uhh... Vertical reg + nitro system = 2 regs, not 3.
If you're planning on using 3 regs (vertical, under grip and nitro tank... I guess), it would be so restrictive you'd probably never get a decent ROF.

don't nitrosystems have 2 regs. One on the tank and another adjustable one, hence the 2 gauges

No, adjustable or pre-set, there's only 1 regulator. Adjustable regs have 2 guages, one is the tank pressure which tells you how much air is left, the other is the output of the regulator. It'd be hard to adjust a reg if there was no guage, wouldn't you say? ;) Pre-sets only have one guage... it tells you the tank pressure.

i like my bottom line Max Flow, its the 4500psi system. The Verticle is good, but i dont like it as a grip. and it doesnt really make your gun taller. if you think about it, its only like 1 cm or less lower than a 68ci HPA tank that is screwed in. the bottom line max flow also has a little built in drop forward. not much, but it does help. I puts the tank in the perfect position for me.
