I'm not making a stand for B.E. i'm up against it. From all the bad reviews it gets u'd think they try to improve their merchendice.
I'm up for a revolution or at leat a ban on B.E.

for the people that use this stuff get something better it's well worth it

B.E. has screwed over tons of paintballers and have givin pb a bad name.

they won't change, b/c they still make money... people that don't get serious about looking into stuff for paintball like to look into what they are getting, b/c they would rather go to sports authority or wally world... I mean, they are a business, and they are there to make money obviously. So why would they change their product if it sells well...

Not saying I'm for BE or anything like that, but if you look at it from a business perspective, not a hard core pber perspective, it makes sense...

bring the flames on...

true, but still on the business perspective if you make more people happy with your products you'll make more money thus becoming a better company with possibly getting a better reputation.

You may not like to admit it, but we do need BE. They make cheap markers. Not just quality-wise, but affordable as well.

They bring in the newbies. Nobody is going to spend $300+ on their first gun on the off chance that they may like the sport. That's why we have guns like the talon, and the blade. I know a lot of people who's first gun we a BrassEagle. They may hate them now. But you have to ask this: "Would they have gotten into the sport at all were it not for BrassEagle?"

well.............................. as much as i hate to admit it, sausage guy here is right. dont get me wronge i think BE should go bankrupt. now my first gun was a 32 deg but like half of my team was a BE start.
pluse i think that BE does gelp bring ppl into our wonderful sport. also i think that it alows for a much broader compition because ppl with very low budgets can afford their paint and markers. but mostly paint

true that B.E. has cheaper guns that cost from 50 - 100.

and maybe that's what brings people to the sport but think of this how did u come to the sport?for what reason ? because u heard older ppl you looked up to who played or because of a cheap gun .?

there are many reasons why ppl join up to pb. My first gun was a spyder sport only 100 and i still have it. B.E. could improve their products so ppl would use them more and be happier.

Now how would you feel if you came to the sport with lets say a talon and when in the game it starts chopping bals or somethin now wouldn't u kinda wish that wouldn't happen. that would really kinda screw you over.

I know most ppl "enjoy" useing B.E. or "bring them to the game" but that's not really the point. If ppl want to play pb they kinda have to have the money.so would you invest into a really cheap gun that u can't do much with then buy a new one or get a gun that u can build up on with upgrades and what not.

besides the guns think of the paint . It's crap. if you really look at it it's oval shaped and it's extremely easy to break.

the only thing that B.E. goes good with is itself. (guns and paint)

the quality of the mechendice is poor and as you said it's cheap so you get what you pay for.if you really truely want to play pb you should save up and get something worth while.

I'm not sayin for ppl to spend a ton of money myself i scarcely get $15 a month.

B.E. might just bring ppl to the game but as ppl start playing after a month or so they realize what B.E. really is.......

Is flooding the market with cheap guns and equipment really what the sport needs? The best way for someone to be introduced to the sport is at a legit field with rental equipment. That way the experience will be safer with chronos and refs. You will get to use better equipment without ponying up for a $300 starter kit. Selling Talons at Wallyworld is only inviting a bunch of inexperienced people to get themselves in trouble in a backyard. Hey I realize the sport started in backyards, but now the sport is really starting to grow and there are a lot more oppurtunities to keep it in a controlled situation. Cheee-rist I sound like a geezer!

Where else is anyone going to find a marker for $50? People buy the stuff and if they like to play, they go out and buy better stuff. It's not like they spent a lot on their first gun. Sure the guns suck, but they do the job they are made to, which is bring people into the sport. It just seems odd that they don't try to keep their market base by making some stuff that doesn't suck too. I mean, what's it worth to BE if they get people into the sport and then these people go buy better guns from someone else. Kind of dumb business strategy there, but hey, it ain't my money.

Unfortunetly there are many places that do not have the luxory of a paintball field. So a newbie does have to goto wally world to get into the game his/her 1st time. Thats the way it is around here. My 1st gun was a brute pump and I had to buy pb's for $8 per 100 (wow that dates me) that I had bought from a field that went out of buisness in our area. A lot of newbs start with a Talon or something similar, play, have a blast, talk to vets about there guns save some $ and invest in a good gun. They are starter kits. so they are useful.. imho

Oh yeah, BE stuff serves it's purpose. I just think that maybe they should try making some high-end gear people can buy when they decide to get better stuff, instead of just letting the business get away.

yeah I agree with you lavahead, I mean surely BE can see that they could tap another nitch, not too mention they have the resources to develop mid to high end markers. I dunno maybe thats why I don't own my own buisness yet.

Maybe they feel that the bad rep they already have isn't going to change by putting out good stuff, regardless of how good it may be. Seems kind of like giving up though. They've been around for awhile though, so maybe I'm wrong and they know something I don't.

I always thought of the rainmaker as B.E.s stab into the high-end marker market. It doesn't suck. The problem was, Rainmakers don't sell too well at Wal-Mart. So they've moved back to their original strategy: "cheap"
