Spdyer vs Piranha

What is better a Spdyer Shutter or a Piranha EXT PRO G3?
I know I want to buy one of them please tell me the better choice.

Well, the Votes so far don't really show much, but In my opinion they are about the same and maybe each has its pluses, but it also depends on the player like FlyBoyNZ said.

Spyders and Piranhas are almost exactly the same thing. One is not better than the other. Just get whatever looks cooler to you.

The spyder is Xtra is a sick gun. Better than any piranha. The spyder shutter on the other hand is more expensive than the Xtra and only has useless added features like the bolt window and a crap-*** guage. Take it from me the spyder Xtra is the sickest gun in the price range.

Why is the Spyder Xtra better than a Piranha? Because it has centerfeed? Well the new Piranha G3s do too. So why is the Xtra better?

G3 has centerfeed the coolest barrel in the whole world, drop forward, anno job, and flush cocking system, and other things cause i havent got the chance to read more about it yet.get teh piranha.

I cant explain why its better because I don't have it and I have never taken it apart. Although a kid on my team has an xtra and another kid has a piranha pro. And it was clear which one was better and which one was a better value. The only bad thing about the xtra is that it is very loud with the stock barrel, but no biggie.

i'de say the piranha is better... ive reserched a lot about both brands and im going with a Piranha STS G2 titanium

(i havent taken a look at the xtra but ive heard a lot about it)

well, how much a gun performs, depends on how the person takes care of the gun, and i do agree that the piranha pro doesnt exactly come with what you would expect for the price for the gun.the titanium has a cool finish, hehe

although i voted for the pirhana, i get my spyder xtra tommorow based on the things i have read about it. nothing but good stuff.

i do think that the new g3 pirhanas are a good value and most likely great guns because they do come stock with a pmi regulator.

yea, i think that the g3 are a great deal, they come with a decent reg.But the Xtra is a great gun for its money, i probably would have bought one if it came out earlier.

Sad that my first post is one like this, but here is my experience with Spyders and Piranhas (sp?)

I have a fairly tricked Spyder Compact 2000
My friend has a Piranha G2 STS that is sort of tricked

I have had NO problems at all with my Spyder
My friend has had nothing BUT problems with his Piranah

First, the balls would double feed in his piranha. Then he sent it to the factory. That did'nt help, they did nothing, and said it was his paint. He got marbs and the same thing happened. He finally takes it to the pro shop and gets a new detent, and that fixes it. Now he has a gas leak somewhere inside the marker!

Lets face it, the Spyders look SWEET! The Piranahs look worse in person, and they come all covered in an oily substance. My Spyder was bone dry (also the internals were too, so oil those!)

I love my Spyder, but not enough to stop me from gettin an electro!

if the oil bother you, than wipe it off!!!its not that big o a deal, i mean y oil it if theres already oil in it?maybe ur friend is just bad at takin care o his gun. i have no probs and i did a lot to the inside o my gun so i wouldnt be surprised if it broke down, but the thing is it hasnt.first, as soon as i got it, i oiled it up with this tube o lubricant i found in the garage(too excited to care)turns out it was WD-40!!!AHhhhhhh!!!and i put some electrical tape inside it to help prevent scratche in some parts o my gun, to tape turned into goo, and i dont have any alcohol, so i havent cleaned it out yet, that was about 2 months ago, my o-rings seem to be doin well still, so im not replacin them. i jus wiped the goo out, and oiled it with actual oil, and then i got it cleaned. im not sayin that the piranha petroleum based lubricant proof, no gun is, itll eat through the o-rings one way or another, im just extremely lucky and it seems to be a miracle that my gun still works. i recommend the piranha, better custome service, and its just a better gun, i think that the piranhas look tight, maybe the main body aint sparkly enough for you, bu tthen just get a dremel or a drill and stick a piece of think felt on it, run it over your body a few times, and itsa mr.sparkol!!!!

Pirhanas are cheaper price-wise, and I've shot both a standard Pirhanna and a Spyder Compact. I liked the PMI WAY better.

yea i agree, there just something about the piranha, for me, it feels right in the hands, also, the compact feels like it is cheap and not well made(im not sayin that it is, but thats just the way it feels in my hands),also its made in Taiwan...the main reason y i bought the piranha is cause o the cheap lookin blob of welding on the powerfeed.
