I am probably going to buy a barrel soon so I am considering three barrels right now....1)Dye Boomstick...2)Dye Stainless Steel...3)Smart Parts Big Daddy.... those are the barrels I am considering.. I want good quality and durability...with awesome range and even better accuracy...There all in the 90 to 110.00 price range.. I just want everyones opinion on which one I should consider.. and also I don't know which size I should get.. I was thinking about getting a 14' or 16' but I don't know if it is to long... some people say that the length of the barrel doesn't matter but other people say that the length of the barrel matters on the count that if you get a longer barrel, you get better range and accuracy...I am confused..anyways I don't usually play outdoors, I usually play indoors but when I do play out doors I like being a sniper so I need a sniper/close combat barrel....What do you think and suggest any barrel that you think is better. Thanks for your help...

Good explanation of your case!!!!!!!!
In my opinion, first of all, you must choose the bore size. What paint are you using?
About the range, forget it!! Range is the same for everyone with the same velocity! What you see sometimes is just differences between bad paint/borebarrel, using different paint and different barrel materials!

Heavy paint going further!!!!! (nobody, think about that!!!)

If you want a silent barrel, choose a 14" no more than that, with porting, like the AA (the most silent barrel)

I'm playing like you do and I'm using Zap Performance and My perfect barrel are the CP Pro barrel system! I have two control bores (to match the paint) and two tips 10" (in door, close combat) and 16" to sniping games, to reduce the noise! The barrel is the same, and you choose the tip when you want!!! Ans is cheaper!! take a look!!

Well I usually play with medium bore paint like diablo blaze and stuff like that....I am starting to think of getting a 14' Dye SS...but can anyone tell me how it preforms???

Out of the 3 barrels you are deciding between, I like the Boomstick the best. However, you stated that you are using a medium bore paint. My understanding is that the boomstick is a small bore paint. So you either want to go with a different barrel or different paint.

If you are playing indoors in CQB I would reccommend a shorter barrel. I usually reccommend a 12-14 inch barrel for general use. But in your case I would go on the shorter of the 2, probably 12 inch. Easier to move around in during Close Quarter Combat.

People are mostly right when they say that barrel size doesnt matter. The most important part of the barrel is the first 6 inches. After that the barrel doesnt do "that" much. That is why only the first 6 inches of the boomstick is stainless.

thats sounds like a good theory....I will probably stick with just 12' in... cause right now my stock barrel is just 9.5 inches. Its some what accurate, If your indoors..but it doesn't cut it at large outdoor fields. Like I went to... they talk about it at warpig. Heres the link if ya wanna see http://www.warpig.com/paintball/recreational/monsterIII/index.shtml

well I think when I do reach the amount.. I will probably get a 12in. DYE SS cause I have heard a lot of good about them from the reviews but if you dry fire it a couple of times after a ball break, will it clean it out???

Thanks.....
