Well, I know this might sounds stupid...but I'm serious...
I have the choice to buy a Spyder Xtra, JT Spectra Mask, 200 rnd hopper, and 20 Oz CO2 tank, all BRAND NEW for 500 (Canadian)

ooorrrr

99 Pro teams products AUTOCOCKER with a 5000psi carbonfibre Nitro Duck tank. Gun has brand new ACI bottomline regulator, and new front reg, with all new hoses and fittings. Brand new Venturi bolt too. Also had a lightened double trigger put in. Comes with a mask, squeege, 200 round viewloader2000 (battery opperated), belt pack with 2 100 round tubes, spare parts and springs, and 500 paintballs

OBVIOUSLY the second choice, right??

but its COMPLETELY USED

I'm not sure if I want to trust this USED gun, I mean, I'm not very paintball gun familiar AND what if the damn thing breaks on me a weak later? there is NO refund or warranty!!

PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE....Don't just pick the obvious one, please think about the NEW and USED consept.

Thank you

Second choice for sure. Anyone can fix a cocker, and if it's messed up, it shouldnt cost too much to fix. Point being, that the price value difference, is such that you just cant go for the xtra. The nitro duck tank alone is worth more than the first gun package, let alone adding a Revvy, and more importantly an autococker. For sure go with the second, or you will regret it

Thanks alot for your help!
But my only main concern was that in all the reviews at pbreview.com, everyone mentioned how difficult it is to maintane a cocker in good condition. They said it is a very High Maitenance gun and I'm not familiar with the inside parts of a gun yet.

When buying a used gun, most of the time it's a win / loose situation. For example:
I bought my first cocker (used gun) in 98', oooh, twas an excellent gun, shot like a dream!
I bought my second used cocker in 2000, WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! Inconsistent as a kid on crack (umm..thats bad).
So you see, it can be a win loose situatian, before you buy the gun you're looking into, ask as many questions as possible! Find out who the owner is, what his favourite movie is and what kinda apples he eats. Also, if you're buying a cocker, make sure you can get it to a proshop or someone experienced with cockers, I had to go to Vancouver after each day I used my gun because the gun sucked so much. OH, and I took care of my gun too, so don't say it was my fault, if you do I'll hunt you down and drink Mountain Dew, THE HORROR!!!!

Definately get the cocker if you know who your buying it from. I got my 98 custom from a friend andd its a great gun but ive seen some of my other friends get ripped off on ebay amd stuff with supposedly "new" parts. If you know the guy, get it and if your not sure, get the Xtra (I really like the Xtra personally). Its also depends on what game you play. If you are trying to play in tourneys and on teams and stuff you should get the cocker. An airsmith can probably fix any problems you migh have anyway. Hope I helped!

Listen to what elTwitcho said, and if you don't like it, sell it.
