A friend on my team has a "Timmy" and yes it is sweet.
Get one in as plane a color as you can because they look as pimp as hell. The Grey one looks cool, but I'ld LOVE one in a plain flat black. Those nickle plated regs look ghetto... so if I got a Timmy, I'ld paint those mugs OD Green or Flat Black.

Revenge 2.0
Revenge is better cuz you never have to worry about the board frying out and close bolt is more accurate. ROF is over rated and involves no skill. Revenge is not really a "Cocker", though. It accepts most cocker parts, but the body is an akalmp merlin and most parts are splatmaster or akalmp.

Go with the Timmy, You will get more bang for the buck, ACE, LP, 14bps, cockerlike trajectory, Consistency, Lightweight, Reliable, Excellent Customer Service....
And with the money you save on purchase price, you can get a Gladiator Reg and or a HP system.
I have 2 Cockers and have been using A/C's for almost 10 yrs and am a devotee of them. But having shot a Timmy at a team practice I was so impressed I am in the process of budget management to facilitate the purchase of an Intimidator.
I have the new Hinge trigger on my A/C and it rips, I outshoot my 12v revvy so easy I have to be careful to not chop paint. The Timmy has an Anti Chope Eye that will never let you chop paint. With the right paint/barrel match the Timmy rivals A/C accuracy and ball flight characteristics. The trigger is very adjustable and super light. Sliding triggers are inherently inaccurate at high rates of fire due to fact that you are transferring linear energy to the marker when it hits the trigger stop. Sliding trigger fans can spew til they are blue in the face, the fact is the fact!!!! I have stated earlier that I have been using A/C's for near 10yrs. If you think you shoot fast and accurate with a sliding trigger, try the Pivot and be amazed!!! But I digress, If you want to play tourney ball and don't have a level of technical expertise to keep a cocker working right, get a Timmy.
ROF is important in tourney ball to snap shoot and sweet spot and supress, and if ROF is overrated why do most all pro teams use fast shooting semis? If ROF wasn't important the Pros would be playing with pump guns.

it all depends on what kind of play.
i started with the basic spyder, then got a tribal twister 2.2, the thing is with electros is that they can break down. Unless you know how to fix micro electronics id go with a revenge, i just ordered mine like last month and i should see it any day now. timmys are also cool cause they have good features. One thing is that Bob Long's store is in my city, i see him there once in a while too. i live in Concord CA
anyways my friend has a timmy, one of the special edition ones, sounds funny? its true, since we live close to the store, they had some special color ones , diffrent from the ordinary colors. but one of the best ideas was the anti-chop eye. the plastic grip to me is weak though..
also gota buy batteries or rechageable ones. Having a electro too it requiers more maintince, * sorry if im misspelling im sleepy* but Im going with a revenge because these guys who make them know what they are doing and are using the best parts. the thing is revenges start at 999$ up to 1300, i got the ultimate =P in a blue
but timmys are good too.
i like the revenge because the way it works. you just gota see it.

From that logic I would not want to fly on an Osprey then.
The thing about an electro is it either works or it doesn't, Timmys have a diagnostics program that will tell you what is wrong. Solid State electronics are very durable, think Satellites, Every modern Automobile, Fighter jets, cell phones, Pagers, etc...etc...
EVERYTHING can break down.
Maintenance on an electro is easier than with a mechanical marker. Just keep it clean and have fresh batteries, run the diag and you are good to go. A mechanical marker has springs, Valves, rams, sears, 3ways and all these parts are subject to wear and failure in substantially shorter time than electros. An electro has switches and Solenoids that have duty cycles that are a 100 times more severe than anything encountered in paintball.
Unless you have the technical skill to keep a cocker working, if something goes wrong at the field you are just as screwed.
starting at $999!!! and ending at $1300!!!! OMFG
A Timmy will run $800, a Gladiator $75, and a 88/45k preset will cost $300. So for $1175 I can be on the field playing high level paintball.
Bang for the Buck, the Timmy still wins.

ive known electronics since i was 12 and im 20 now
parts that can fry, capacitors, ic chips, transistors, LED's
i can go forever.
with a mechanical marker part can go wrong too , i didnt say anything is indestructable. but by using the best parts , it will have less problems unless you screw it up.
timmys, are more for the lazy who dont want to pull the trigger, its for those who want to spray a large amount of paint in a short time. i got the the revenge because if accuracy and distance.
tell me what do you do when your diagnostics program fails, when paint gets in the grip area
one big problem with electros is that the solenoids go bad.
if you read , lots of fourms that post about electros say that they have problems with the marker. bolt being stuck forward, gas hog , so on.
i was also thinking about the e matrix, but after reading posts it told me that they were not reliable.
not many people know how eletronics even work.
unlike a autococker, read your manual, and if you have common sense you should be able to know how to fix it.
keep it clean, tell me what sport never is clean?
ALL SPORS GET DIRTY!!! because you play in dirt this world is made of dirt dirt and paint will get everywhere.
if you were even able to get off your lazy but and read what the revenge uses, dont open your mouth.
the revenge uses only the best parts, or what you want on it. using the best, the parts are tested and reviewed over and over. Proving that they will outlast anything else on the market at the time.
anyways you may spurting 13 balls a second and have your paint rolling at my feet while im tagging your goggles dead center
have a nice day

I Did not call you any names and so your fragile ego and Immature brain prompted you to call me BOY??!!!
Now listen up girly, I'm 35 and have been playing with AutoCockers since 1991, and have been playing paintball when your mom was still wiping your butt and dressing your ***.
I don't have any electro markers as yet. And I don't care if the parts on a Revenge are Titanium Nitride coated, they will still wear out. It will go out of time, the Springs will lose tension, the sear lug will wear out, the Valve seal will wear out. Revenges' run @180psi my A/C runs at 250 BFD, MY A/C has been running for 10yrs!!!! What where you doing 10 yrs ago, playing with your cabbage patch doll?
I said the Bang for your buck is greater with the Timmy between the 2!!! recruit, open your eyes, comprehend and shut you pie hole!!! We don't even know what kind of player the kid who started the poll is. I was stating an EDUCATED, INFORMED, OPINION. OPINION, you comprehend that?!
You deemed it necessary to insult me, you made your bed now lie in it!!!!
I said EVERYTHING can break.
Bolts getting stuck on electros is typically when they chop a paintball and fragments of said paintball jam the Bolts.
I do believe a Timmy uses an ACE and so that doesn't happen.
I suppose the pro teams use electros because they can't play???
And as I am ripping 13bps to supress your ***, my front guy will mug your whole side.
But I would probably just gogg you on the break!!!

To reply to your prejudgement
your question how old was I? ten years ago i was 10
my mother didnt have the job to do that because she was working, and still is.
you being 35 i belive should growup. I was stating my opinion, I wasnt the one who jumped on the article and try to tear at everything that was said.
How can you recommend something that you dont have?
Its like wanting someone to taste a drug to see what happens to them first.
Anyways of course parts can go bad, anything man made does.
I believe you are contradicting yourself attacking the revenge, then saying your cocker has been working for 10 years.how about you go back to your maintenance engineering job and mob the floors you dinosaur you are half way to Retirement!
I dont care if you said you band your ***. again i just stated my opinion and you jumped on it.
I didnt know 35 yearolds get so offened so easily.
again i didnt know they interacted with teens so much about paintball.
Again you comment on something you dont have.
bolts on all markers can get stuck because of paint.
My statment of bolts getting stuck on electro's was because of the solenoid and electronics. reason I can comment on this is that i have a electronic marker.
Proteams in my opinion use angels and etc, because they want the high rate of fire to spray anything they see move.
I think they go that way because they go for dumping paint than taking the shots that count.
In some movies, they use m60's and spray and pray, to me resembles spray and pray.
i rather have more accuracy and range than higher rate of fire.
you sound like the big kid that never grew up. still trying to pick on ones who are smaller than you.
blab all you want and
GROW UP

What ever dude,
You can just call me your SEADaddy!!!
I'm here to whelp grunt pups and teach them to think.
You still can't comprehend the fact $$$ for $$$ a Timmy will outperform a Revenge.
And as a matter of fact I am a Network Engineer.
If you read my review here of the timmy you will see that I have an educated opinion.

You just have to have the last word, fine this will be my last post for your childish reasoning.
You still can't see. You are still prejudging 2 markers you dont even have, and if you dont have it i dont see how you can prove that one is better than another.
I never said one is better, AGAIN you decided to jump and try to degrade another.
education, sure from this eurocentric system?
haha
funny
I rather go for a marker that has been tested and built through working design and working features.
stop being so ignorant and grow up

Since you want to get that electronic marker go for it, but if I were I'd get the cocker. If you decide to go for the electronics might as well get the matrix, it's fast or even faster than an angel and accurate as a cocker. And I'll tell you the only problem of the matrix, just one tiny thing, it's a gas hog but a new they're comin out with will help it. Even better try to get a Shocktech matrix. If you don't believe me of how fast a matrix can shot go to http://www.diablodirect.com and see the video they have.
I'm not here to tell you what to get I'm simply trying to help. and I dont shot a matirx I got a shocktech SFL (sweet).

Who cares what breaks. Bob will most likely give it too you for free.
Danman is right. I found my timmy for 685. The price advantage is amazing. Cockers are very nice. I like their look but Timmys are way better. Best gun IMHO.

i prefer the autococker. my best freind owns a intimidator. i do not like the intimidator. he is often having problems with his marker (between almost every game) plus i just cannot stand electros.

*start rant* COCKERS CAN NOT SHOOT FARTHER OR MORE ACCURATE THAN ANY OTHER MARKER!!! IT IS IMPOSSIBLE YOU CAN NOT SHOOT A BALL FARTHER THAN ANOTHER MARKER AT 300FPS. IF IT CAN WHERE CAN I BUY SOME COCKER GNOMES AND PIXIE DUST WHICH WILL ALLOW ME TO SHOOT FARTHER? *end rant*
