Lapco or standard Smart Parts AA for Custom 98?

the only thing that is keeping me from buying the Lapco Bigshot is that I hear it is really loud, exactly how loud is it?

hmm... that's a toughie..... I'd say to go with the all american. the lapco has great accuracy just like the all american, but it is a bit louder.... how much louder? well, consider that it only has a very small amount of porting in a cluster at the end of the barrel. For the most part, more porting = quieter barrel... so compared to other barrels, most of which have more porting, it's louder. people have a problem with the all American if a ball breaks in the barrel... it's a pain to get out of the porting. but you can just put your hand over the end of the barrel and dry fire to force air out of the porting. I'd say get an All American.
