I know I'm gonna get some hate letters for this story but.....it's the truth and if you want to verify this call COPaintball.com and ask them, they are the ones that told me this when we were discussing my commercial account with them. I have a small paintball interprise and feel the same way for the same reasons.
To help put this in perspective, CO is the third largest paintball retailer in the USA and I feel they have a very good reputation of customer satisfaction.
A customer bought a new spyder shutter from CO, took it home and tried to gas it up but blew the gas striaght through the gun until he took the tank off. He drove back to the store, they replaced the cup seal (a constant problem)and re-gassed .....blew the gas straight through the gun out the barrel just like before. They went up and got another to replace it but before leaving, the guy asked to gas it up, it was a long drive back and forth and after the first one, he felt it may be a good idea, so they gassed it up...........whoosh throught the barrel again, went up, got another same thing. Finally got one that worked. "J" couldn't believe the guy went ahead and took it(must have been a present).
They sent the three"never had a ball through them" guns back to kingman and got them back a while later with a $50 bill plus shipping charge against each one of them......MUHAWHAWHAWHAHAHAHAaaaaaaaw!!!!!!! Talk about GONADS! THEN CO called kingman stating that there was no way they were going to pay that bill..........then the kingman stated "OH YES YOU WILL!"................. then the fact that CO was the biggest account that kingman had in the eastern USA, and they really didn't need their products, and cancelled the conversation. Kingman called back saying they didn't really want to lose their account, and the incident was resolved, but at this point because of all the problems they've been having with spyders(some still won’t work out of the box) and their "service" .....or lack of it...... they may still quit handling their products. "skating on thin ice" was the term used.
While Louiedog and I were talking to "J", one of the other guys was talking to a customer on the phone and loudly stated" I'm sorry but I can't recommend any kingman products", we looked at each other & grinned.

Thats really too bad. Perhaps once Kingman hears how people are viewing thier product and service they will change thier tune.

I doubt it, they've been doing things bass-ackward forever and a day. The Extra does rock though.

I guess the question becomes wether or not to buy a gun from someone who may or may not support thier product to your satisfaction. Ive never fired the Extra but if i had one and it did 'rock' id be VERY worried that if it i dropped it or it suddenly didnt 'rock' anymore for some reason id be screwed.

i agree the Xtra is one of the few great guns from kingman, for what you get stock with the price, you really cant go wrong. To tell you the truth, i wouldve bought an xtra, but it wasnt out until, 2 months after i got my gun(talk about bad timing)
