If you have a .688 paintball does the barrel need to be .688 or .689? How much .001 difference could there be between barrel and paintball? Can a .692 barrel accurately shot a .689 ball?

no a .01 doesn't make too much of a difference. Although a .893 can shoot a .688, the ball can roll out of the barrel or it will not be accurate.

Gus, you do need to match the size of the ball to the size of the barrel, as closely as possible. A paintball that is too small for your barrel (like putting a small paintball like a marbalizer into a Large Bore Barrel) will roll out the end. On the flip side, a paintball that is too big for your barrel may break inside it or won't fly straight. Keep in mind that even though a brand, say marbalizers for instance, that is rated a certain size will have inconsistancies from one case to the next and even from one paintball inside the case to another.
When the manufacturer says it's a small paintball, most of them are ... also, things like temperature, humidity and age can affect the size of a paintball.

Hey everyone, would a .688 Dye aluminum and a .692 dye boomstick be enough barrels or should I get the Freak System.(I already have the Dye Aluminum .688)

why dont you just stick with paintball that fit your barrel instead of getting more barrels

yeah..i think you're better off just sticking with teh barrel you have and matching paint to it. teh Aluminum Dye is a good barrel, a good paint that goes with taht is Marbs. Also try Diablo Blaze.

yeah there's no use to buying a new barrel to match a paint.Instead, match the paint the barrel you have.
