Bill Baily, who was designated as General for the U.S. Special Forces team assigned to eradicate an errant guerrilla force in "Operation Eminent Storm" has stepped down. Citing an inescaple prior engagement, Baily remanded his authority over the operation, but will still serve in a lesser role. Widely scattered and unconfirmed speculation has it that a secret arm of the unnamed guerrilla group, operating in the U.S., has made specific threats concerning Baily which lead to his resignation.
Replacing Baily as commanding general of the spec force is John Stephens who's experience with the Roswell and Operation Mind Kontrol engagements, as well as others, make him ideal to head Operation Eminent Storm. Stephens is quoted as saying, "We will rock their [the guerrilla's] world." indicating his confidence that OES will be a great success for his Special Forces team.
In a foriegn freelance report, guerrilla leader Mikle Mullery was quoted as saying,"The Americanos are soft and unorganized as their late change of command reflects. The will only come here to perish at the hands of my hardened jungle fighters. We do not recline in air conditioning in front of a television at the end of the day. We are ever vigilant, ever aware, ever ready. The American gringo dogs come to meet their doom." When asked about rumors of an arm of the guerrilla group intimidating personel inside the U.S., Mullery's only reply was," The arm of our might is long. No where are our enemies safe."
