about how fast can a 2001 autococker shoot paint? is it better to get the vertical feed, or the regular side feed.

I think since my new frame and trigger job, i might be able to get off about 8 bps. Ive never timed it but that should be close,,maybe a little more. I have the side feed and I like it more cause I can see down the center. Like if Im running and shooting, I can look down the barrel, thats just me though,,pluse the side feed is like 100 bucks less.

I could outshoot my 12v hopper when I had stock 2000 pnuemtatics. However, it takes a little practice to do that.

You can get 8-10 easy with the new WGP pivot trigger and probably more with a little practice. The Pivot Trigger rips, and your finger don't get as tired and it is harder to short stroke. It is makes for a more stable firing platform at high rates of fire, because the linear energy is not being transfer to the trigger stop.
Team Naughty Dogs and Team worr both won at NPPL with them.

i was reading about the BE raptor and the specs say that you can get 7bps out of that gun, but that can't be right or is it?

There are a lot of different answers in here. I know cockers can handle more than 6-7 rps 'cause my freind let me use his and I found quite easy to shoot that fast. What I would like to know is how fast they are physicaly capable of cycling? And will upgraded regs or internals increase that rof?

I run my 2000 on co2 and have a Gen x 2 regulator. I can fan the trigger at prolly around 12 balls a second which it can handle without problems, until I shortstroke, which is why you shouldn't fan the trigger on a cocker. Without fanning I can shoot consistently for long periods of time at around 8-10.

ya fanning doesnt work :) you can and will shortstroke it doing that which is no fun, mine doesnt usually chop when it shortstrokes though - lucky me.

they can shoot as fast as you want to even faster with vertical feed.

with a custom autococker you can shoot however fast as you can... i have practiced with a black magic before... and honestly - when i get into rhythm i was able to unload a full hopper, in like 17-18 seconds, which is equivalent of about 12 bps... now this is coming from a person with a very sensitve trigger on an angel...

Well my old cocker didnt have a trigger job and its pretty hard to pull, but it can shot well over 8 bps with out breaking paint. And my new SFL cocker can do 10+ easy with out breaking paint and the paint will land (garanty it will) at the same spot with my 14" boomer. So cockers can shot fast while at the same time still very accurate unlike other guns out there, why do you think most pro teams use it.
