often i see people advising others to "go low pressure" what are the benefits of having a low pressure gun and how is it actually converted to low pressure? how much does it cost?

an lp chamber is a piece in front of your lower stack (if you have a double stacked blowback which you prob do-pirahnas and spyders) it is a place for gas to go so the gas pushes the paintballs longer with less abrupt force. you brake less balls and get mroe consistent shots. it depends on the gun for the cost. some guns coeme with it (xtra, bob long) and some (my spyder se) you have to buy hose, change htreads for hose, get vertical adaptor and get lp chamber, 60 total

You'll need a regulator, and a change of springs. A different ASA and bolt will let you get even lower pressure, but for now, all you need is a regulator and a Low Pressure Spring set. Ask your proshop, they'll have one

i need a regulator even with co2? also, do you think i'd be able to install them on myself or am i better off asking my local proshop? will this really show an increase in performance/consistency/how long my air supply lasts?

Regulators are easy to install. If you can screw your tank into your gun, you can screw in a regulator. Screw in the regulator, put the hose fittings into the reg. Connect the hose using a fitting to your bottomline, and you're set. Be sure to put teflon tape on your threads for all your hose fittings, or it WILL leak

when ever connecting a hose yourslef you nedd to use teflon tape or it will leak like twitcho said. if you try to make it not leak, youll strip it

Where do you find teflon tape? At the local hardware store?

yes it can be found at the hardware store. It will be in the plumbing section. It is also called thread tape. (tip)
wind the tape {it is not sticky} counter clockwise so that as you tighten the fitting it doesn't bunch up or come off.

Could you clarify that?
I first put the pieces together, and then wind the tape around the connection, counter-clockwise, right?

No. Wind the tape around the threads. Then insert the connection. The tape will go sorta inside the connection, thus preventing a leak. You'll probably mess it up the first few times, dont worry about it. My forst bottomline took dissasembling and reassembling 6 times before it didnt leak. With practice it's easy now, just work at it, and you'll get it

Thanks elTwitcho, for preventing a very aggravating mistake. I could just see myself not figuring out why slapping more teflon on top of the connection wasn't working.
Do you just put one layer, or wrap the tape around a couple of times?
