i live in michigan and if anyone knows what the weather in michigan is like they know it is usually cold and unpredictable. well, this past weekend, for a suprise, it wasnt all that cold. i was playing at about 530 pm in AT LEAST 60 degreee weather i played 3 games, and during the 3rd game my Co2 started to "sputter." i knew the Co2 wasnt low because i got it refilled a weak ago, i know there isnt any leak problems with my gun and it worked fine the past to games. i find it wierd that it still "sputtered" even with a shop rag and a camoflauge cloth rubber banded around it. it would go in spurts, it would shoot fine, then sputter and so on and so forth. my friend said maybe the Co2 cylindar is is too old. (i bought it used) So in short, does anyone know what things i can do to maintain a somewhat warm temperature for my Co2 so it performs well???
thanks

its a 14oz Co2 and i shot no more than 350-400 shots. i played for like an hour an a half and only 3 games. i think that 14oz's should shoot about 700-750 shots

check your orings and check for leaks first

if it is the cold, get an exspantion chamber

if it's that cold, get an expansion chamber and an anti siphon tube.

Yeah, get the anti siphon to or it will leak.

What I did before I got an expansion chamber is keep the the tank it my pocket in between games and if you think its stupid its not because it works depending on how long the game is. Take in mind i neverd unscrew it gun and all would be sticking out.

Is it ok to leave your tank in direct sunlight inbetween games? It sounds stupid but I just wanted to check. Oh, also..do neoprene covers keep your co2 tanks cooler or warmer? Thanks.

lol Jncos. No I just put the tank in my pocket and I would hold the gun that was sticking out. Otherwise it would fall out.

actually, when u take the tank off it wont let much air at all out,all u have to do is:unscrew it about a quarter turn(on my TL+,its about 2 or 3 millemeters unscrewed) then shoot until it sounds as if it has run out. doing this will let all the co2 out of the marker. which means not letting any air out when the tank is unscrewed.

Another thing that might help is get a remote system and put an expansion chamber set up on it. The remote will also act as a expasnison chamber. And maybe your butt will keep the tank warm too...

Don't remind me of the time I was using a mag on a remote in the fall and I shot 1000 balls in a game and my 20oz was froozen to my pack and my A$$ was cold.

Get a regulator and anti-siphon tube, not expansion chamber. A regulator keeps liquid out better than an expansion chamber and regulates the presure, duh. the Palmer stailizer is exrtremely CO2 tolerant and consistant on co2. thats what it was made for.

Heres what i do take one sock put it around your tank(a thick sock) then buy some hot hands hand warmers place them on the side's of the sock then put another sock over those and your tank will be nice and warm. I should've told this to lots of people!

why would you want to stick it in your pocket?
just take the tank and stick it in one of your warmth spots (armpits, crotch, anywhere that sweats a lot)
i recomend the pits unless you want a half shrunk nut sack
you can also shoot the gun with the tank in your armpit

but my mod does work great man have u ever been to michigan? it is freezing up ther!! like what if he is playing in the snow and running around. I don't think he is going to think bout sticking his tank under his armpit and besides it won't probably be warm enough MICHIGAN man think about it MICHIGAN

pocket is better if you can fit it in there because with your armpit it doesnt cover it all and who Sweats in Michigan??. Hey dude why are you playing paintball with co2? Thats just stupid to come here complain about your co2 getting cold when you diss all are ideas. Just get nitro and stop complaining.
